I know i might be in the minority but, for now, I quite like the various new revenue streams that they have got going on, eg this and the third dug out thingy etc . Presumably it is part of the CEO brief to stabilise the financial ship. If it works and has the desired effect then alll power to their collective elbows.

I’d pay for that, I just hope that the food that night was rotten tomatoes so we can proper pelt him.

I doubt either of the schemes you mention are gonna be massive earners for the club however, every penny counts.KerryGold wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 9:38 pm I know i might be in the minority but, for now, I quite like the various new revenue streams that they have got going on, eg this and the third dug out thingy etc . Re: An Evening With !!!
I don’t have a problem with the third dugout. It uses a space that wasn’t used, brings in people and money. It’s a little bit naff, but hey-ho.
But this series will replace the events in the SC that were free to members (and membership costs less than the price of this one event). The five planned evenings with will cost £100, for something that you used to get for free.

I would assume the SC will still have its ale nights quiz nights etc

Re: An Evening With !!!
Yes, but I don’t think this is the same. The meet the manager nights were about people from the club coming to talk to the fans and coming to talk to them in a fan-run space. This is taking it in-house and monetising it. If the same event was put on in the community, the club wouldn’t dream of charging for it, because it would be outreach/ profile building.

I can’t believe anybody will be mug enough to pay for this nonsense.Lucky7 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 9:07 pm Leyton Orient coaches

This sort of thing is traditionally held in the supporters club for free and the club sell a load of beer which helps to finance the donation the FC receives every season.
Diabolical idea.
Re: An Evening With !!!
Club be charging for signatures next.
If you think about it, it would be easy enough to implement.
Any item could be signed, plus certificate of authenticity, for that pleasure add £5 to checkout.
I reckon enough people would go for it.

Re: An Evening With !!!
If we're being brutally honest, the Meet the Manager/owner/CEO etc nights in the supporters club were very often arranged by LOSC or LOFT as a way of persuading people to turn up to their AGMs; they're not so much club-initiated community events as the club helping LOSC/LOFT out in their attempts to get enough bodies through the door for the election of the committee members etc to be vaguely meaningful.Bottomley’s Ghost wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:33 pm Yes, but I don’t think this is the same. I guess we'll just have to wait to find out if the club will continue making people available for that purpose. Be interesting to see how LOSC & LOFT try to make their AGMs attractive if they don't.

Re: An Evening With !!!
You’ll have to jog my memory on that one. No recollection of any of the SC events being linked to an AGM, and the only LOFT panels/AGMS I’ve been to were in the Italian’s era, so people like Matt Porter were not involved at the club at the time they appeared. Happy to be corrected though.

Morning Hawaii, LOSC have never arranged the many Meet the Manager evenings we have held over the years to coincide withHawaii Five O wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2019 12:45 amIf we're being brutally honest, the Meet the Manager/owner/CEO etc nights in the supporters club were very often arranged by LOSC or LOFT as a way of persuading people to turn up to their AGMs; they're not so much club-initiated community events as the club helping LOSC/LOFT out in their attempts to get enough bodies through the door for the election of the committee members etc to be vaguely meaningful.Bottomley’s Ghost wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:33 pm Yes, but I don’t think this is the same. our terribly dull AGM'S ! There is nothing we can do to make an AGM more attractive, unless maybe you would be a guest of honour perhaps?
