Just say Russia gave Cuba the same number of weapons to point at America, or say gave Venezuela the same number of weapons to point at America.
America and Britain would go apeshit. The Western media would be going mad.
What's the difference?
Because Russia are the Baddies and us and America are the Goodies, everyone knows this.

Why don't you live in Russia?
You really are a shallow individual. Can't you even try to see the other point of view?
Why don't you live in Russia, is an incredibly childish response, but then I suppose if I'm honest, i expect such a response from you
There is always another point of view but it doesn't necessarily even it up or make it right. As in this case, the other point of view is just plain wrong.

I don't KEEP posting Pro Russian views. I don't like Putin at all, but I am not a sheep and I don't just swallow the propaganda and crap that comes from our government, that you do.
Have a look at the map I've included of American bases near Russia, and then tell me why Putin might be feeling a little upset.

Is the one in Afghanistan still there? I thought the Yanks had sprinkled their diplomatic magic dust all over it and left as heroes a few months ago taking their pets with them.

Well that's what American propaganda says, but in reality Russia has attacked very few countries outside their sphere of influence, whereas America had invaded over 40 countries either directly or indirectly, since the second world war.
America is the biggest terrorist state there's ever been, but we are fed Pro American propaganda non stop, and most people, including you, believe the crap.
Russia are no angels, but America are more likely to invade any country, at any time, as they have been doing for 75 years

Haven't attacked many countries outside their sphere of influence is a superb defence. F*ck those countries that have the audacity to be Russia's neighbour.

Also, that map is very misleading, yet it keeps on being trotted out. Many of those bases are joint-operational, and at the request of the host nation. Some are outright lies, and simply do not exist at all.

How many countries has Russia attacked then?

Is it more or less than America?

More than one thing can be bad.

The Jezza logic on show did prompt me to look at Stop the War Coalitions take on the Ukraine situation, and surprise surprise, the blame isn't with the country with 100k troops lined up on the border of a country that they have recently invaded, annexed land from, and have funded an insurgency in for the last decade. It's on the west for talking about it.

It's also a simplistic question based on a false premise. First you have to define 'attacked'.

For instance, Russia has now carried out two chemical attacks in mainland Britain which have put our citizens at risk of death, and even killed a few already. And Russian-backed separatists (or even actual Russian troops) have launched a missile that destroyed Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, resulting in 298 innocent fatalities. But yeah, the US did some things they disagree with previously, so equals-pequals.

They’ve not been at war for something like 17 out of their 250 year history.

They bloody love doing a war.

I fully understand post-Iraq cynicism. But this default to side with whoever the US/West/UK/NATO (delete as appropriate) is up against, without applying any critical thinking, is depressing. And wrong.

It appears to be yet another blind side that afflicts the crank-left.
