Would anyone on here still vote Tory next Election?

Post by BoniO »

Serious question.

Having witnessed them in all their glory over the last decade, and especially the last couple of years, would anyone still vote for them. I'm assuming that BOJO would no longer be leader of the Party but don't think that makes too much difference given the "quality" of the likely successors.

I expect to hear the "who else, there's no real alternative, best of a bad bunch" etc, etc. In my opinion, it's hard to imagine any party being more incompetent & corrupt than the Tories, so any alternative would be an improvement, but that's my opinion. So, will you vote Tory?

Yes because it doesn't matter who you vote for as they are all the same.

Never ever would I vote Tory but the current lot (whatever their formation and their total lack of ability) will never eclipse my loathing of Cameron and Osborne and their austerity/big society cocktail of crap.

Of course died in the wool Tories will continue to vote Tory.
Most Tories only have interest in money and profits, and any amount of corruption and law breaking is not of interest to them, unless of course they get caught.
I believe the Tories will win the next election despite all this

I would vote tactically to oust a Tory candidate. Interestingly, I looked at the odds for the next GE this morning. Tories were 4/7 to remain in office. I despair.

When the other option is kneel Starmer it becomes rather easy to vote Tory.

So you value ineptitude, corruption, lack of integrity and outright lying highly then? Surely, even a rabid dog with piles would be a better option.

Labour, if they were the only viable alternative, couldn't possibly do any worse (than the Tories, not the dog).

I made a terrible mistake voting Tory at the last election. It won't happen again, even if they put up a Chimpanzee as a labour candidate
I would vote for it. It just has to be better than voting Tory.

Obviously, because they are a better option than Labour, even you know that.

I respect that. So many people who would continue to vote Tory are just scared to admit they were wrong. Probably stubborn in normal life, too.

I can’t believe that anyone could ever use the words “Jimmy Saville” for political advantage. Beyond belief.

Depends on who is leading Labour, assume Starmer, the policies he puts forward and confidence his ability to carry them out.

Come the next election people will be more concerned about their personal situation and that is allied to jobs and growth. Very few will be voting on the basis of Downing Street events and Cummings.
