Pretty much everyone was saying we needed to ditch Embleton and bring in a proper experienced manager to make us competitive again this time last year.

Oh.

Well we have Mansfield and Bradford next. This time next week we could be close to or at the end of his spell in charge.

Yeah, seems strange that regardless of who the manager is and what experience they have, we struggle. Wonder why.

And where has it got us? We're still not competitive and doesn't Embleton have a better record than Jackett?

BTW I'm all for the process and the fact we're better off than we were this time last year...which just makes this all the more frustrating.

The difference is that Kenny potentially had the experience and know how to get us out of this rut and Ross didn’t. I’m probably in a minority but I still think there’s lots more twists and turns this season

Embleton’s stats weren’t good enough for the board who sacked him .At this moment in time KJ stats are now worse .

Unfortunately KJ stats are currently now worse than Embleton’s . So make of that what you will

If we sack Jackett after less than a season, irrespective of all the good work done off the pitch, we will be seen as a basketcase club to work for.

Oh.
Yeah and invest in a capable squad for L2 promo challenge. Can't have one without the other - the transfer committee failed over summer only getting the bare minimum squad in and it's cost us.

Agree and I think that getting someone experienced in means he will be given the opportunity to regain our form and build a squad again over the summer.

Only if the cheque book comes out again for a marque signing or two before the window closes. Otherwise our season looks like fading away. We can still make the play offs but I’m now beginning to lose hope

This time last year we started to lose our way that caused the sacking of Embleton. We need 2 wingers that can get to the bye line and cross the ball to our front two. Tonight and on Saturday we were very poor in trying to cross the ball. Kemp and Wood both had poor games. The LB whoever that was suppose to be was nowhere near the scorer. Smyth should have started . At least he showed glimpses of creativity. The two midfielders we have brought in are inexperienced and too young for this league. We need an experience head in the middle to drive us forward. From what I see tonight we are just a middle of the road team .It’s going to be a hard slog to try and turn this around. I cannot see it happening.

Ross Embleton, was a good coach and things were looking good when we had good 1st half of the season with him as Manager playing in empty grounds. It does now makes his time as Manager look not so bad now.

Smyth gets MOTM in the previous game and is then subsequently dropped for Kemp who was anonymous
