Selling Bonne and Koroma and not having comparable replacements to announce straight away hardly inspires some to renew or signup. A stronger more ambitious sign of intent on the part of the club will be what drives sales.

Whilst I agree with your point of signings, the fact remains we've sold more than in the comparable period last season, we've have had over 500 new fans purchase a season ticket.

I'd say well done to the club so far and if signings are made that excite people then I'm sure as I've said previously commit further people to purchase a season ticket.

I must admit, I didn’t realise that 500 NEW fans had bought Season Tickets, that is quite an achievement by the club in my opinion.
I’m sure that behind the scenes work is going on to bring In replacements for Macca and Josh, and maybe more, which will encourage more fans to come along.
As has been said above, I reckon many will renew this week in the hope of getting a better seat.

Are there really 500 new fans?

That means there’s a lot of old fans who haven’t renewed. An awful lot. Somewhere in the region of 1,500???

500 new fans? ST sales don’t prove that at all. I’ve been coming to Brisbane Road 60 years and last season was the first time ever I had a ST. Don’t make me a new fan, just a new ST holder.

Though I have renewed this season. Just to help with the numbers like. I much preferred turning up a deciding East or West on the day, seeing the game from a differentlee Angol.

Where does it say over 500?
I wonder if there is a upper limit on season ticket holders. Could they sell EVERY home seat as a season ticket?

I have not renewed, but then I didn’t get my season ticket before the start of the season last time either. For me, football season doesn’t often start before October. Might make 4,500 by end of 2019.

I think quite a few will renew this week as fans look to see what has become available from other ST holders moving or not renewing for whatever reason.
I also can’t see where we’ve attracted 500NEW Fans from ??
Have the club mentioned this ??

Good point - could well be a few newbie ST holders last year trying to find a better seat this year.

The club have just tweeted that “We are just 300 away from equalling last seasons record breaking total, and it’s not even July yet !!!!! “

They must believe we will reach the 4,500 target.

If that’s the case I think we could hit 4,750 season ticket sales. Keep going everyone it will make a difference.

I think the target was 4,000 which we exceeded, but i’M not sure by how much.
My guess is we sold 4,100 last season and have sold 3,800 so far, hence the 300 figure being tweeted by the club earlier this afternoon.
Great backing from the fans again ;)

My daughters friend wants to come next season, just been told this afternoon so we will be speaking to her parents to sort it out so that's 7 season tickets for my group.

1 more to the total to be added. If a few more of us could do the same we'd make 5k season tickets!

Sounds about right. This time last year it took to 11 July to get to 3,541: https://www.leytonorient.com/news/2018/ ... e-july-11/

By 22 August it was at 3,910: https://www.leytonorient.com/news/2018/ ... -tickets2/

By 27 September it had crept up to 3,980: https://www.leytonorient.com/news/2018/ ... st-update/

And the 4,000th season ticket was sold on 16 October:

Nice facts AP the club is doing a great job, as are the fans that have parted with their hard earned cash.

You’re dead right Thor.
Now we just need a couple of decent signings and for the players to get us off to a good start.
The club has never been in such good shape off the pitch for many years with Nigel and Kent at the helm.
The Commercial team also seem to be doing a great job.
The positive thing about the people buying Season Tickets this year, as opposed to last, is that because the kids price has gone up a bit ( too much for some, I know ) they will actually attend more matches, rather than buying a £9 ticket and the kid going twice a season. This year there is more value to having a ST ‘ cos you would have paid a ‘fair’ price for it.

And if they don't it's still 500% more income on those sales.

But it would be great if everyone who bought a season ticket actually turned up.

At least in the North Stand this year with the tap on cards we'll be able to monitor attendance / attendees / utilisation a bit better.
