Re: Coronavirus
I thought you would have realised by now. Omicron was no more threatening than a common cold. You can’t disrupt the country every time a mild variant like this appears.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 9:34 pm And people with covid no longer legally need to isolate..which seems mental
However , I am assuming they also have good news information about Delta , or they are satisfied that enough of us have been vaccinated to remove the need for isolation

Re: Coronavirus
Looking at those COVID figures throws up more interesting facts , and if I may say , even slightly humorous.
The average age COVID death through the pandemic was 82.5 years old. The average life expectancy in the Uk is lower than that. Turns out it would have been better to catch it ))

Re: Coronavirus
Need those positive test numbers to go down? Just make it difficult for people to test.

Re: Coronavirus
Or are the large number being attributed to people actually having flu and or a common cold which the tests can’t separate or identify against? The narrative is failing that’s for sure.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 11:03 am Still 100k infections a day, but hey remove those restrictions because Big Dog needs a boost in the polls.

Re: Coronavirus
Non symptomatic people shouldn’t be testing anyway, but sh*t loads are and many false positives are being thrown out there. Also a booster could show up as a positive test.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 9:04 pm Need those positive test numbers to go down? Just make it difficult for people to test.

Re: Coronavirus
If you want a more accurate picture of what is going on in terms of infection check the ONS Infection Survey (https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulation ... usReleases). It's updated each week but lags a bit.
"Experts have warned" that the numbers on the govt site are becoming increasingly unreliable and some also believe daily coronavirus statistics should be phased out in the coming months, amid fears people are becoming "addicted" to the figures.
