It's not an either/or. Though Lingaard apparently doesnt want a move until the summer. A loan spell at the Toon would put him in the shop window though.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 9:03 pm Couldn't they get someone like Lingaard instead?

Re: Newcastle signings
Triggered his release clause apparently.
Not done great this season, but has hit double figures last 2 seasons I think. Burnley/Dyche apparently fuming...

Re: Newcastle signings
Woods is enough to keep them up and it messes up burnley great move, beggars cant be choosers.
Plus if lingard doesnt want west ham why wouldnt he want to risk joining a posible championship side.
Just wait till the end of the season then he can go on a free and if newcastle stay up he can still go there.

Re: Newcastle signings
I guess one way of staying up is buying the best players of all the teams around you, even if they're all rubbish. 25mil for Wood is probably the most ridiculous amount anyone has ever paid for a player.

Re: Newcastle signings
Should go after that good winger who plays for Watford too. Though tbh think they are more likely to be relegated than Newcastle anyway.

Re: Newcastle signings
They seem to be going full scattergun for players in the 20-30 million pounds bracket. A doubtful policy, surely quality over quantity is a better option? Or is this because the most pricey can not be persuaded to sign??

Re: Newcastle signings
Have little respect for players who express a desire to sign for Manchester City, these days...
