Hadn't realised he was still at Michigan - assumed the Devils had called him up!

Committed to Michigan for the season. Think the original plan was give him another year in Michigan next year and then bring him up to New Jersey for 23/24. No idea if that time frame still stands though, sounds as though he's ready for a level above college hockey and his stock has only gone up since the draft.

Not got a 'P' team though, can name a couple of colleges, but don't have the full team name.

Well you certainly can't overdevelop prospects, so makes sense to leave him there in the meantime, especially if that suits the Devils' timescales for contention. I've wanted the Leafs to trade for Severson for years so hopefully Hughes replaces him when that happens.
