KJ stated that the missing COVID players were not carrying the Virus. From this we can assume that these are unvaccinated players, that are subject to “pingdemic” for the rest of the season
Or they could just stop being thickos and get vaccinated?
I’m surprised the club, via our medical team, have t had this discussion with them.
I completely agree that anyone who refuses to have the vaccine after all that has happened is a bit dense.
However, what evidence do you have that the club / medical team hasn't had this conversation?
Assuming they have had the conversation (and my money would on them having done so), what can the club do to force players to have the vaccine?
As far as I know, there is no law that forces anyone, least of all footballers, to have a vaccine.
Technically, I don't think the medical staff are even allowed to say who has or hasn't due to confidentiality laws (may be wrong there).
I'm sure the unvaccinated players have all had measles, mumps, rubella, polio, chickenpox, hepatitis, influenza and tetanus jabs, I'd like to know what their problem is with the covid vac.

I suppose we can work out who has not had vaccine by who was unavailable on Saturday

Yeah fair enough.
Just have to keep our fingers crossed that there’s not a whole raft of other players who are also unvaccinated.
Games already being called off for Boxing Day,
guessing the O’s will go again with a depleted
squad ....
Whilst others in our league have only to notify
the EFL that they can’t fulfil the fixture,
we fast track a long term injury back into the
squad and untried youngsters just to make a
squad of 15..

Don't be so stupid. There's more to it than just notifying the league that you cannot play and that's just accepted as the end of the matter

6/12 games postponed - 5 days prior. League 2 taking the absolute piss!! Are these teams factoring in likely cases/self isolation??!!!!!
Think it through for a second. Unvaccinated players who are close contacts of those with Covid need to self isolate for 10 days. As do those with Covid. So where those are impacting on a club they obviously do know now whether they can fulfill a fixture in 5 days time.

I might be stupid, but in the real world where
I live that seems to be what’s happening..
I’m awaiting all the hard luck stories in May
when we miss out on promotion or the play offs
by a point or 3points and the realisation hits home that maybe and it’s only a maybe that we
maybe didn’t have to play that Tranmere game ..

It's not what's happening. The teams calling off games will need to provide justification. The fact that other fixtures, including Orient's, are currently taking place shows that it's not just a case of a team deciding not to play because they don't fancy it.
If we miss by a point or 3 points then you can point to lots of other reasons, such as the Port Vale game or the draws when we should have won, not confirming a bias by picking the Tranmere game (which we still may have lost with a full strength squad) to suit an argument.

Lets get something straight I’m not starting an
argument, you’re the one calling me stupid and
biased .
I WILL pick out the Tranmere game should we
miss out on promotion or the play offs as opposed
to Port Vale game or the many points dropped
to last minute draws we had a strong starting 11
plus a strong bench ..
As opposed to the Tranmere game where we were
down to a bare 15 including in that were 2 keepers, 2 players who had never started a league game,
One youngster we had to recall from loan, no
right back and bringing back a striker back early
to make up the squad numbers ..
As I stated in my initial post all I’d like to know
from the club was, was any discussion made between the club and EFL over the possibility
of the game being postponed due to lack of
squad due to COVID..

And the cheating fuckers can now start un-postponing their games
Tranmere manage to get Saturday’s game called
off after contacting the EFL that they can’t fulfil
the fixture due to INJURIES and Covid..
Amazing what you can do these days if you make the relevant phone call

You're over simplifying it, likely because you're simply not capable of thinking about things objectively. Teams need to meet criteria and prove it to qualify for postponing fixtures. It's not just a case of phoning and saying you can't play and that's the end of the matter.
Hedmans Header wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 7:27 pm
Clearly states on the Tranmere webpage,
“ we notified the EFL that we wouldn’t be
able to fulfil the fixture due to injuries and Covid”..
Why would I wish to look at it objectively??
Seems all it takes is a phone call and your
wish is granted, unless your Leyton Orient
and we’ll play the game with a bare bone
squad ..
Again, you're being too simple. What the Tranmere website doesnt "clearly state" is that the league don't just sit back and say "ok fellas, that's alright", they then investigate the circumstances around the postponement and will follow up/take action if necessary. If teams do not meet the qualification for the game to take place then no further action is required.
You seem very bitter about something and are lashing out at Orient for some reason when the only problem seems to be your limited intelligence.

Worse piece of administrative work by the club
since Simon Clark was allowed to play at Exeter
20 plus years ago despite being banned ..
An explanation from the club would have helped
explain what is still being discussed by many Os
fans “group chats” 12 days after the actual match..
Lastly can I just ask why you feel the need to attack people who may not agree with yourself??
E.g “ you’re stupid”, “simple” and now “Lmited intelligence”.. it’s just an observation
I just wish they’d make their sodding minds up. I’m heading over to a friend for NYE whose hospitality is legendary, as is her wine cellar and vodka bar, and staying over, and if I’m going to the game I’ll have to go straight from there with overnight stuff and whatever. If the game is off then at least I don’t have to drag myself up at some godawful hour like 11am and trawl over to Brissy with the hangover from hell.

This thread makes my brain hurt. Are some people on here really complaining that we're not cheating?
Because that's what it is if a team is pretending to not be able to fulfill a fixture when they actualy can under the regulations.
(Not I think that it would be as easy to do as some folk are making out btw. But if it was, people would really want us to do that? To cheat?)
They are also pretending that a sodding 1-0 loss in the Wirral in December will define our season.
Yep. Spunking away a win at Port Vale? Failing to see out a win against Rochdale? Drawing against the likes of Scunny and Stevenage? Nah, it's obviously because we didn't win away against a Tranmere team with one of the best home records in the division and who we would definitely 100% have beaten in a rearranged game.
