That was from the day before Prof Neil Fergersons report and other data suggesting it is more mild i.e. it's not up to date news.

Perfectly sensible rules in Wales 🤪🤪🥴🥴

New Covid rules see 50 fans attend Welsh rugby match outside — as 140 people watch it indoors from clubhouse on Boxing Day

Not wrong. The whole ‘we have consistently followed the science’ doesn’t hold up any longer. I’m not for a lockdown at this stage but the fact that BJ hasn’t enforced any new restrictions is nothing to do with science.

Boris seems to have gone very quiet again.

I hope he’s having a lovely Xmas with his latest family, wherever he is.

Even the scientists are starting to see sense. Treat it like a common cold and get on with it.

Im not sure its even where I read it, to be honest. My point is a milder reaction to the virus doesn't necessarily mean the virus itself is milder.

Can’t agree it is like a cold, I would say it’s getting closer to flu.

I agree when they say that eventually we will have to end isolation for everyone who gets Covid. If they feel ok to carry on as normal then do it.

Wasn't a fan of people going to work to cough all over their colleagues and fellow commuters before COVID

Far less so now

Yes, it’s not nice. But if everyone took time off when they had a sniffle, then everything would grind to a halt

A runny nose isn't contagious, coughing everywhere is

Also, people aren't frequently being hospitalised with a sniffle

Maybe sniffle was the wrong word. Those who have tested positive, but show little or no symptoms will be allowed to go about their daily business.

So we are going to do this for a long time? There has to come a point where we live with this like we do the flu, which kills on average 18,000 people a year

It hardly matters that its milder if its everywhere. More catch it, more die. NHS Staff get it and go off affecting other treatments as well as The Covids.

But flu rarely kills asthma sufferers, pregnant women, the slightly overweight or obese & im sure not to many diabetics. By your reckoning maybe we should let people drink & drive ,lets face it not that many die because some p155ed up pr*ck didnt wanna walk home.

I think you are underestimating what flu can do. It can be dangerous for asthma sufferers and pregnant women. It can lead to babies being stillborn. And from what I have seen on line, children are more likely to die from flu than Covid.

to mild asthma sufferers ? Maybe those with it really bad . See now youhave shown how dangerous flu can , why should we just live with 18,000 deaths a year. or 5.2 million covid deaths in 2 years . maybe we should do moore for both.

People don't go out and "live their lives" normally when they have the flu
