Re: Highlights
Did Swindon have their Christmas party last night? Their defence is fast asleep for all four goals and the other chance we had in the highlights.
Also their goal was clearly offside.

Re: Highlights
2nd and 3rd goals are absolute peaches delivery wise, right into the area where the defenders are having to run towards their own goal to cover and against two forwards who attack crosses brilliantly. Advantage of having two wing backs who put in an early cross.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 8:33 am Did Swindon have their Christmas party last night? Ogies turn and pass for the first goal is not the sort of thing you see league 2 centre backs doing on a regular. Another massive talent to have come through the academy.

Re: Highlights
It’s not the pass, that’s fairly routine, it’s having the composure and technique to go past the forward on the halfway line to put yourself into the position to play the pass. He’s got the lot.
Didn’t we pinch him from somewhere at like 16/17? So not a true academy product.

I can't see an offside there, but can see why some think it was.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 8:33 am Did Swindon have their Christmas party last night? Their defence is fast asleep for all four goals and the other chance we had in the highlights.

I think the pass from Simpson was very close, but just onside when the ball was played. Either way, very close in real time.
The cross for the goal - Whilst McKirdy looked to be in front of our defenders when the cross was delivered, using the grass cut line on the pitch, he looked to me that he was behind the ball. Again looked close in real time.

Re: Highlights
There are screenshots doing the round on twitter where it shows them onside, but to be honest I'm not sure the still was taken at the moment the ball left the players foot. So whatever it was, it was close.

Re: Highlights
When are people claiming offside? The pass down the left hand channel or the cross into the box?
The pass, you can’t tell.
The cross, definitely onside.
Either way, Ogie shouldn’t have stopped.

Re: Highlights
At the time thought their equaliser was offside. After seeing the highlights I've changed my mind. Also thought our 4th shouldn't have counted at the time (foul on one of their players). Also changed my mind.

It was Beckles out wide, not Ogie.

Ogie should be at the front post but stops with his hand in the air.LittleMate wrote: ↑Wed Dec 08, 2021 11:36 amIt was Beckles out wide, not Ogie.

Re: Highlights
I was at the game last night and it was in their build up just before the video showed their goal. it's disappointing the video clip didn't show it because I wanted to see the whole build up move from the camera's point of view. . However I'm still sure it was off side. Thankfully though it didn't stop us from winning.
