I reckon you'll get used to it, and it will fly out of the stores. If we have a good season, it will be recognised as a classic.

Re: Kit reveal today
That's awful, but at least it takes attention away from the badge.
Gotta be a positive in games tho. No opposition player will be be able to focus on our boys.

Re: Kit reveal today
To be fair, I don't think it's horrible. It is better than a few of the plain Nike kits and almost certainly better quality than the crappy early 2000s ones.
I just resent that it seems a bit lazy and being fobbed off with the pretend 'tradition' angle. The commemorative kit was how to do it. And the badge, but given the marmite reaction I can't imagine it lasting more than one season.
Is the away kit still gonna be yellow?
Perhaps Macklin could redeem himself by releasing a special kit, to be worn in the games vs Newport. We'd have enough time to make something properly bespoke and infused with tributes to Justin.

Re: Kit reveal today
The 2013/14 got roundly mocked when it came up but might even turn into a 'classic'. maybe cos of the season we had in it.
Thing is, people moan that we have plain generic ones. Then we have something 'different' and people also moan.
I guess the one thing i will say is that it wasn't that hard. they overcomplicated it. Put on a chevron, the croatia kit or braces and it would have sold double any kit we've had in the last 10 years.

Re: Kit reveal today
It's disappointing. I don't think they'll be selling out of this top.

Yeah, I'll let it sink in before coming to a conclusion. Interested to see whether the same design applies to the change kits.

Why couldn't they model the away kit today as well.Loyal_Supporter wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 3:27 pm Away kit is going to be blue I believe with a white third kit.

I agree, you have a point about the plain Nike tops and the quality.eagwgw wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 3:22 pm To be fair, I don't think it's horrible. It is better than a few of the plain Nike kits and almost certainly better quality than the crappy early 2000s ones.

Re: Kit reveal today
It's a bloody ugly kit whether it came out a template store or someone actually designed it to look that way (if so I'd advise a visit to Specsavers).Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 3:28 pm The 2013/14 got roundly mocked when it came up but might even turn into a 'classic'. maybe cos of the season we had in it.

Add to that the pound shop style badge and it's not one I'd want to fork out any money on. Just hoping there might be an equally garish goalie shirt as being tacky and horrible is actually a USP for those

Re: Kit reveal today
Fully agree with the badge looking like edible paper and the kit looking like a tractor crush victim. Eagwgw's mock kit looks a ton better than this one imo.

I like these sentiments
Oh and the kit is alright. It’ll do. Team performance is the key not what the players look like

Widdowsons new hair style is going to take some getting used to. I hope he’s not like Samson and loses all his strength now he’s had his haircut.

Re: Kit reveal today
Looks better in blue. The two shades of red in the home kit dont go together very well.

Re: Kit reveal today
Much better than the yellow and this seasons red. Could get on board with that, although the badge is still horrific, and with the blue it looks even more Carlisle.
