Had someone come in once with an owl. It wasn't every year but the school was either William Mcguffie or William Morris (Walthamstow). can't remember which one, nearly fifty years ago.

The schools still go to these places, my daughter went a few years ago and my son went this or last year. The kids love it, they also have eagles there as well, which is the most beautiful and gracious bird in my mind there is.

Funnily enough, there was a bloke in the pub with a tawny owl last night. Which was nice. He’d popped in for a pint (the bloke, not the owl) after taking him to see some cub scouts, apparently.

I don’t remember having a visit from a bird-man at school, but my daughter definitely did at her primary school - think it was a falcon, though.
