I'm a member of the lesser place but haven't posted in years (just checked, 2014). On the above thread MungO seems to be telling a few porkies ("I often login over there and go in on the wind up"). He hasn't posted on here since 2019. Awesome posts mind.

He's often claimed that he logs in, stirs it up and then leaves - have to be honest in saying I've no idea, or care which alias is his (if he's actually doing what he says he is - an unkind thought is that he's bullshitting to play to his band of followers over there). Happy to state that I long gave up trying to be approved of by anyone around these parts - I'm content to be universally viewed as an arsehead.

Had a quick look in over there this morning - I think I'm still living rent-free in BrentwoodO's head and there's a regular thread started by someone over there reminding everyone what a shithole it is over here. So no change then except clearly traffic's picked up over there with some disgruntled boomers / gammons who've been shifted off here for various infractions. If it gets to the stage that there's not enough going on here to continue to throwing a few quid a year at keeping this place online then I'm comforted that there's an active alternative forum that'll house any waifs and strays left here. For the moment I'm content to leave this place running like a flat roofed council estate pub with its remaining regulars and a few fools who stop in once, and never return.

BTW, the Mungo username over here was Disoriented. One of his many alias's I'm afraid.

Yes, I use both. I like it there, l like it here, they are different but both have their good points. They reflect the nature of the people who administrate them. Mungo's place is the place for discussion, this is place for a bit of a ruck. As Dohnut says, vive le difference.
