Also it is lazy Boarding by Tuffers. Why doesn't he put his brain in gear and come up with his own and original ideas?

Re: Tory Watch
you know it really is getting to them when
they all pipe up to condemn a satirical look at politics.
Shame they arent ready to look at the corrupt government
feathering there own nests with as much money from
the job as they possibly can .
As its current affairs, i dont see the problem .
imagine they arent the biggest fans of Spitting image this lot .

Re: Tory Watch
I've not actually been following this that closely, but from what I can gather the following has happened:
- Neil Paterson was paid £500ph to advise for Randox while they were bidding for a government contract to perform Covid testing.
- Randox had their contract with the police terminated after it was discovered that a "most serious breach" of forensic science standards had occured.
- The Rugby Football Union & Premiership Rugby terminated their contracts with Randox as it was responsible for errors that saw false positives for a number of Bath Rugby players.
- Randox also had to recall up to 750,000 unused coronavirus testing kits because of safety concerns.
- And yet, despite all this, lucky old Randox won a £133m contract for Covid testing without any other firms getting a chance to bid!
- The Government then made the Randox Covid tests mandatory for travel.
- Randox then reports £218million revenue (+85%).
- And, if that isn't enough, Randox has also received millions in Government grants. When a Freedom of Information request was made to understand how much Randox had received and for what purpose, the Department for Trade refused saying that it would cost too much to response to the request with the information.

You forgot to label it establishment corruption and most likely fraud.Dunners wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 12:34 pm I've not actually been following this that closely, but from what I can gather the following has happened:

Have I got this right? Is this it, or am I missing something? I'm all for balance, being rational and reasonable, so am more than happy to be directed towards a proper explanation.

Re: Tory Watch
Well that's why I'm asking if I've understood this first. Because, if it is as I've set out above, then it does sound a teensy bit corruptiony and that a criminal offence may have occurred.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 12:37 pmYou forgot to label it establishment corruption and most likely fraud.Dunners wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 12:34 pm I've not actually been following this that closely, but from what I can gather the following has happened:

But I'm sure we have this wrong, and that there will be a perfectly good explanation coming along any moment now.

This poor mans wife - the daughter of the Viscount Ridley and grand daughter of the Earl of Scarborough, no less - has just taken her own life and this is how you treat him? Sickening.
