No, but only because with proper governance and less dicking around it should be possible to supress hospitalisation.

No, it’s totally in the Government’s hands to get the booster jab out there.

Whit planet you on, pal?

There is no prospect of proper governance just like there hasn't been from the time Boris missed 5 COBRA meetings ever since then its been one blunder after another. Have you forgotten about "Eat out to wipe us out".

Further measures are required now to prevent harsher ones later. But hey England is a free nation only with 200 less freedom worshippers ever day.

I’d support a lockdown if it’s needed but an immediate return to wearing masks in shops etc, on all public transport and stopping the drive to get workers back into the office ought to be happening now.

Before a lockdown, we need the following
1 Mandatory wearing of masks in shops, trains, buses, public buildings
2 restrictions on numbers going to other households
3 Working from home once again

These measures should be brought in next week

If the pandemic still kept on increasing, then a lockdown must be implemented, because by that stage the NHS would be crumbling

Should we all be making a statement (similar to Taking the Knee) and ALL wear a mask at today's match?

No, that's a straw man. One of the reasons they need to have it is to minimise the chances of spreading Covid to other people. Less covid going around = fewer people in hospital or dying.

Relaxing the mask rule was right up there with the dumbest thing this shower have come up with. I’m on the Overground right now and there’s still a good number of people not wearing one, despite it still being mandatory on all TFL services.

I’d support another lockdown if I thought it was going to be enforced properly but it won’t be. People have become complacent again, and we need to get back into compulsory masks, vaccinations and boosters, because we’re going to have another steep rise in cases this winter without doubt.

No. We are protected by the vaccine. I am not going back to restrictions to protect those that won’t have the vaccine

Agreed.

When things started to relax, the whole mask thing was noticeable from a weekly (work) shop at Tesco in Harlow. 1st week 80% masks; 2nd week 30%; 3rd week me and someone else looked like weirdo's wearing one. The thing was that half of the people shopping looked like they were in vulnerable categories (I shop pre 8am so all the oldies are out in force). Baffling then and baffling now. Without getting into class debates, its also noticeable that the more well informed/educated people tend to take the threat more seriously. I do plenty of travelling and less affluent areas tend to disregard the threat a fair bit more than other areas.

What’s really grating with me at the moment, the youngsters who have very little risk are for the most part, at least where I live, wearing masks and really trying. The middle aged and boomers not so much. It was all the fatties and olds out without masks in the supermarkets yesterday and you know what, yes I did wish one particularly overweight individual who barged past me maskless bad COVIDS.

we are not protected by the vaccine.
vaccines are only boosting the immune system .
it doesnt mean if you get covid you cant die
from it, even if you have been double vaccinated .

It means you are much more likely not to die from it .

Youll do what you are told to if the Government says
Full Lockdown & dont pretend you wont !!

It's very unlikely that Boris and his cronies will call another lockdown because they are only interested in the economy. Lives don't really
mean anything to them as long as Britain keeps on producing. Once again it's money over lives. Herd immunity is what these clowns want.
This government has blagged it's way through this whole pandemic.

What was the point of getting jabbed twice and with a booster on the way if we can't now get back to normal .This virus is never going away and will keep mutating . if we can't get back to normal now then when do you all suggest .?

That we find ways to live with it not die of it.
