Dean Brill
Judging by the photo of him modeling the merchandise he looks like he has shed a few pounds and looks fitter.
Strange because you wouldn’t expect him to lose weight out of season.

Re: Dean Brill
Tbf at this time of year he is free to do long distance running, interval training and cardio without the fear of picking up an injury that would have caused a significant problem during the course of a season

Re: Dean Brill
Every player is given a programme to work with through the time they leave the club till they return back for pre season.
It works on a week to week basis and it gets progressively harder and intensive as it builds up to their return. The science is that when they return they are more or less ready for the heavy lifting to be undertaking during pre season and the players weight is on target as is their fitness.
So I’m not surprised by what he looks like and well done him.

Re: Dean Brill
Seriously?
He doesn’t look any different to how he did last season. He was hardly a fatty, it’s just that he’s somewhat bulkier than the rest of our players. Of course he’ll look fine in a photo on his own. He’ll just look ‘bigger’ when in a photo next to one of our outfiekd players.

Re: Dean Brill
Surely he will stop less shots because there is less of him to get in the way of the ball. Goalkeepers don't need to be fit just large.

Re: Dean Brill
fyi - Mark Noble said recently that he loses weight in the close season as he is not doing weight training and so loses muscle

Re: Dean Brill
I thought Brill's conditioning improved significantly between 2017/18 and 2018/19. Maybe he likes a summer cycle, and comfort food in the wintertime.
Had a good chat with him at the StarMan… put alongside large numbers of our fans, he looked in great shape by comparison

Re: Dean Brill
They can't get too close together else their immense gravitational pulls will lock them into a death spiral, Deanos gut and Clays face colliding and morphing into one new giant player. We haven't got enough as it is so can't afford to lose another one.
