In Court Webbe relied on character statements from Jeremy Corbyn and Diane Abbot

Re: Labour Watch
There seems to be a general pattern: any wrongdoing by a Labour MP is dissected and slated forevermore but even the most outrageous wrongdoings from Tory MPs soon get swept under the carpet (by their party and the media)

Re: Labour Watch
Actually, this is worse for Corbyn than I first thought. He provided Webbe with a character reference. That in itself is not unusual, but they way he did it is unusual.
Usually a character reference is delivered as a statement or in letter after a guilty verdict and at the sentencing stage in an effort to try and influence the Judge towards leniency. That's fair enough.
But in this instance, Corbyn actually attended Webbe's trial and gave evidence prior to any verdict. That means his reference wasn't an attempt for leniency, but an attempt to influence the Court into thinking that Webbe was not guilty. He absolutely has a right to do this of course, but he has done so regardless of any evidence to the contrary.
Obviously the Court has considered all of the evidence. The Chief Magistrate, Paul Goldspring, stated the following regarding Webbe:
"I do not find the defendant to be cogent, compelling and truthful in all aspects of her evidence. Some of the things she has said I believe were made up on the spur of the moment... In short, " find Ms Webbe to be vague, incoherent and at times illogical... and ultimately I find her to be untruthful."
The findings of the Court are damning of Webbe, and are completely at odds with the actions and words of Corbyn. To say that this reflects poorly on his judgement is an understatement. He was prepared to provide a character reference for somebody a court has determined to be untruthful. What is worse, had the Court not seen through Webbe's testimony and 'evidence', Corbyn's testimony may have contributed to a not-guilty verdict, and therefore denied justice to her victim.
And yet there are still some people out there who are trying to deflect any criticism away from Corbyn, and remain sensitive to any suggestion that their messiah is a complete f*ckwit.

Re: Labour Watch
You're one of the most arrogant fuckw1ts on here that's for sure.
Say we give Corbyn 20 years inside for being a character witness. Will that satisfy you centrist retards?
We'll let the Tory crooks, like Jenrick, Johnson, and Patel go, without a murmur, but we'll continue to hound Corbyn, a decent man.

Re: Labour Watch
Whilst we are looking at Labour who really are the nasty party now what with Raynor and Webb look at this little nugget.
The shadow minister for education has no idea about what she’s talking or trying to lecture others on. This of course follows on from her recent foul language and behaviour. These are the best Labour can bring to the people then it’s no wonder the jellyfish has a zero chance of ever getting in power.
I’ll leave the video here for you all to listen and be amazed at how bad Raynor really is as an MP and more importantly as a shadow education minister.

Labour - the nasty party. So you forgive all the screw-ups, corruption and complete ineptitude of the Tories? I'll be generous and call you a half-wit.Thor wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 5:01 pm Whilst we are looking at Labour who really are the nasty party now what with Raynor and Webb look at this little nugget.

I'm not sure anyone has said corbyn isn't a decent man. What people have said is he has many skeletons in his cupboard concerning questionable people and his association with them. Some of his policies were a bit wacko and some the tories have even nicked!! The trouble is coyos he did not and does not resonate with the man in the street. He has been slayed by the press for the lack of action on anti semetism in his party which labour were found guilty of, with the bnp the only other party guilty of such a similar offence.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 4:13 pm You're one of the most arrogant fuckw1ts on here that's for sure.

In todays day and age he can't say what he's said and be accepted as being fair when what Webb has done goes against everything this society is trying to rid itself of.

It’s incredible that a peaceful, life-long anti-racist has been portrayed as a dangerous racist and people have bought it. We truly are thick as sh*t.

Story from my past.
Worked for a company recently taken over by the Americans. Each Board member doing a presentation to our new owners and our own management team, part of our big welcome.
"My bit, IT, always like to add a bit of humour to a dry subject. I mentioned that last night I slept with a grandmother for the first time ever. Laughter amongst my colleagues, bemused faces amongst our American guests. My colleagues knew of course I had just become a grandfather and of course the grandmother I slept with was my wife.
Once explained, they understood the gag." Blah, blah, blah.
