Any particular Wednesday. Probably better to get the right players, even if it takes time, than to set deadlines. I’m sure clubs and players want things sorted ASAP. But getting it right is paramount.

The open post states, 'i assume'. No ones saying we will but in the last week of June, when the club probably needs 4-5 new players, and the squad are coming back for pre-season, i'd say its not to remote to assume that we might sign a player or two this week.

Yep, I'm fully aware of what the opening post says. Not so sure some other people will read it properly though and then will be up in arms, in the event it doesn't happen, saying the club said they were signing two players this week and getting angry if they don't. Which will be amusing.

We don’t know who the club is in discussions with, nor do we know if those discussions are serious or simply exploratory.

I have little doubt we will bring people in, maybe even those whose names come up on this forum. What I do know is that discussions will not take place on Twitter.
