Macaulay Bonne was Ipswich captain today, and he made their goal today. Good on you, Mac.

Ridiculous that McCallum is still playing in the NL.

Have you seen it yet? Incredible work from Macca.

Another 2 goals tonight as well in a 6-0 thrashing of Doncaster.

Lucky we got rid of him when we did.

I did, typical Macca. 91st minute and he still hadn’t given up. I told an Ipswich-supporting mate that he’d never been subbed in any game he’d started for us, and you’d not
find a harder-working player. Perhaps he needs another season or two at that level before trying the Championship again.

It’s not just his work rate, it’s that he’s always switched on, always at the opponents. Every single player he comes up against will hate him.

That Ipswich injury time equaliser v Wednesday reminded me of Macca winning that crucial penalty for us at Sutton, not that he was playing hide & seek with the keeper on that one, but never giving up and always being aware and taking advantage of the keeper being a bit too comfortable/ careless in possession.

I can’t believe that not one Wednesday player did not shout “man on” to the keeper.

Watch from this angle - he’s positioned right behind the keeper so the full back probably can’t see him, he’s hushing the crowd with his hand, he’s just switched on more than any other player on the pitch.

I think it’s more that the outfield players switched rather than not one of them could see him.

I was back in deepest, darkest Suffolk for a round of golf yesterday, they love Macca at Ipswich. I tell my Suffolk mates we taught him all he knows, but they say to me he was born in Chantry (that's part of Ipswich) - "he's one of our own".
