Re: Insulate Britain M25 protest
I don’t get the knocking of these people. Aren’t they better than the thousands who booked flights to the states as soon as the sky’s reopened this week. The usual 10 % of the population that emit 90% of the pollution straight back on planes.

Re: Insulate Britain M25 protest
As usual, a thread of this nature brings out the few usual bellends, none of whom were inconvenienced in the slightest way whatsoever by the protests. I know you’re only doing this while typing one-handed, but you’re not coming out of this looking good.

Standard procedure - don’t like the message, shoot the messenger:
Poor protestor - scrounger/jealous.
Rich protestor - hypocrite.
Every single time, and still the thickies lap it up.

Re: Insulate Britain M25 protest
We still have this mentality in this country whereby anyone doing anything a bit socially responsible is seen as weak, or effeminate, or a scrounger or whatever. Climate protest, vegan/vegetarian, doesn’t matter, it’s somehow seen as being soft and those who’ve been spoon fed by the media and state fall for it every time. We’re not going anywhere until we get over this mental block.

I think they're more seen as arseholes for stopping regular people go about their business.Stowaway wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 9:11 am We still have this mentality in their country whereby anyone doing anything a bit socially responsible is seen as weak, or effeminate, or a scrounger or whatever. having a planet, or getting to hospital because you're having a stroke?

That poor old lady unable to get to hospital because she was stuck in the queues would have been awful, if it had really happened.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 9:35 amhaving a planet, or getting to hospital because you're having a stroke?

Could you tell me the name of this poor lady please? Or the name of the doctor who stated her condition was worsened by not getting to hospital on time?
Thank you.

Irrelevant. The message: There were undoubtedly loads of people on their way to various important things stuck in that traffic. Messenger: old lady.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 9:49 amThere is no messenger to shoot.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 9:47 am You wouldnt be shooting the messenger would you? Only in this case quite a few people were open to the message, but the messenger shot himself.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 9:06 am Standard procedure - don’t like the message, shoot the messenger:

Re: Insulate Britain M25 protest
Don’t be a tw*t.
The message was that some fictitious old lady had a stroke and was delayed from arriving at hospital for six hours.
The messenger was Chris, a caller to LBC.
Never happened.

Well, IB themselves have accepted it happened and offered "sympathies" but keep it up and COYOS might grant you membership to his Conspiracy Club
