Re: Marvin Ekpiteta assault
Just googled it and that's exactly what I meant. But never heard that term before.
Trying to think back and I reckon I might have known it as a cobnut but not sure.

Great news.
Perhaps all those above condemning the young man would like to apologise now?

Amazing how most people's first thought was to condemn him. Why not defend him, at least until found guilty if he was?

Re: Marvin Ekpiteta assault
same outcome as the first trial. What a waste of time and money. One wonders if Marv hadn't been both black, and a footballer, whether this would have gone on for as long.CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 3:54 pm http://courtnewsuk.co.uk/leyton-defende ... ow-attack/

I don't think there was one person that said he WAS Guilty. So what are you on about when you say 'apologise'?CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 3:54 pm http://courtnewsuk.co.uk/leyton-defende ... ow-attack/

I'm pleased for the sake of the club that he's been found not guilty. But not surprised in the least with the outcome.

Like I said back on page 1. Some people need to get some perspective to how the law works.
On a separate note, today I had someone working for me who played with him at Chelmsford and I asked him what he's like as a person after I told him of the court case. He said "that's not the man I know, he ain't like that at all"

I guess the guy dislocated his own shoulder and invented the whole thing then?

Well Marvin wasn’t responsible for it, as the courts have confirmed. Again.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 8:55 pm I guess the guy dislocated his own shoulder and invented the whole thing then?

Re: Marvin Ekpiteta assault
Spencer's on the other board now, so you can read his thoughts there.
I am sure he would be delighted if I pointed out that not guilty is not the same as innocent.
Been a small embarrassment to the club, but he is probably the main loser here, some clubs might have decided against him while he potentially could have had a conviction. Get him doing some club community service to at least show he is an improved man.
Probably will be a good source of banter in the club, team-mates telling him 'will you be quiet' when he is talking.

Re: Marvin Ekpiteta assault
Why embarasing? He wasn’t found guilty. Twice.
Why does he need to do community service FFS? He’s not been found guilty of anything.
Agreed he’ll be getting ribbed constantly over this.
