Not been for years, but went recently for a walk along the wall
And there was sandy Bay Caravan Park, transformed into Sandy Bay Mobile homes residential complex for the over 50s, with pub, spa, and swimming pool
Next door was Thorney bay caravan site which looks like its being demolished
They have a football team named after the beach - Concord
Traffic was horrible - getting to the Os would be like preparing for an away game
Used to have a pint with a mate in the Admiral Jellicoe, but I think its long gone

Re: Canvey Island
Everything is better than Jaywick. Canvey Island has a good load of Self Employed traders, You get a bigger property for your money on the island than the mainland, hence the reason once you move onto the island you get a fright when you compare mainland prices to island prices, and most people don't want to trade down having all the time to get to the top.Chicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 2:59 pm What I want to know is, is Canvey Island better than Jaywick Sands in terms of living standards. Not being an Essex boy, I don't know.
Thorney bay/Sandy Bay static home site minimum buy in price £250000, they buy your home from you at market price, No body at Jaywick owns anything of value.
Kings Park site better but not for long.
