Re: No. 2 team in League 2
Barrow for me.
Always respected the miles their away fans put in, particularly in their non-league days.
And whenever I've attended their games as an away fan, it's always been fun: they don't seem to take it too seriously and laugh at themselves.

Both Bristols are vile.
FGR for me, because of their leftie credentials.

I think it's often reciprocated - we always look forward to the Orient awayday, but beyond that I don't know why either

Not got a soft spot for anyone else, but I do keep an eye out for those clubs who's fans have a second club in us, like you.

Re: No. 2 team in League 2
I went to Cardiff 1967 I think, to watch Wales v England. I was very surprised at the amount of Rovers fans in Cardiff that day, they greatly outnumbered City fans. They were a very affable lot. Went to see Orient play the Gas in FA Cup in late 1990's I think. Not long after we had signed Matthew Lockwood. We greatly outplayed Rovers most of the match, but managed to loose 4-0. The BBC guy after the match couldn't believe that was the final score

Nice to hear from you, ESG!
Wasn’t there a stat that Orient have played B. Rovers more than any other team over the years? Could be mis-remembering that one, mind…

FGR have also signed young Regan Hendry who was Raith Rovers' talisman last year, and he's having a great start to his time with them. One to watch.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 9:12 pmBoth Bristols are vile.

... And for me. No other team comes close.
If there was a thread for teams you hate, then I'd have a good few, but no second team for me just the o's

I moved to Bristol 20 years ago and needed a local team to follow. Rovers were the obvious choice - very much like Orient in their general ramshackleness. Went to Bristol City once but never again (except when Orient played there in our League 1 days).

Re: No. 2 team in League 2
I’d like to see Oldham do well. Went there years ago when they were Division 1 and we knocked them out of the fa cup - it was a freezing Tuesday night and they let the supporters coach into their club bar area and were really friendly and respectful.
Also, last season I thought they played really well down at our place.
As a proper club I fear for them this season

Newport County. I've lived just outside Newport since 1988, just as they were ceasing to exist. Their story has been a remarkable one and I was as delighted as full blooded County supporters when they returned to the Football League. By the way, Tommy Johnston played for them.

Re: No. 2 team in League 2
thank you slacker. I've had a few seasons off while our teams went their respective ways, but it is good to be back. I see there are still threads about Chorley, but haven't seen a mention of Jabo yet
and I seem to remember that stat too

losing by 4 goals v acquiring Lockwood. I think you won that period by a country mileClive Evans wrote: ↑Wed Aug 25, 2021 10:21 pm I went to Cardiff 1967 I think, to watch Wales v England. Re: No. 2 team in League 2
Always had a soft spot for the Gas. I used to live in Totterdown and worked at the BRI for years. I used to go to the Mem quite a bit when you had Lambert and Agogo up front. I'm afraid that right now I find it difficult to get behind them while they're managed by crazed egomaniac Joey Barton. I hope you get rid of him soon because I fear he'll cause untold damage otherwise.

in addition, he's only getting 0.5 point per match over the last 24 or so and we still won't seem to get rid
