How many games did Harrold miss through injury last season?
Not many because JE didn't use him as a starter. He's a head on a stick to go direct with at the end of a game, not someone you send running after loose balls from the start. JE knew this and used him in that impact role to great effect.

If this season we start games with Harrold watch him break down again like how he did in the past.
Red_Army wrote: Sat Jun 22, 2019 11:44 am Everyone calm down. I know its off season so we need something to panic about but please, we will obviously sign players.
Seen it happen too many times with Orient to expect that we'll suddenly show ambition and get the strength of squad we need to challenge at this level. It needed work with the players we had (CM particularly) with Bonne and Koroma getting us off the hook numerous times. With an inexperienced temporary management team faced with a larger rebuild than many hoped for it looks a bit dicey right now.
Most of a footballers time is spent off the pitch. If he was going to get injured he would have got injured during training or in substitute appearances. I've non concerns on this.

That’s an interesting one - I’d say that more injuries occur during games than in training but would love to see stats on it.

Defensively and in goal, we are fine.

Imo we need at least one more ball winning midfielder and maybe a creative one.

Our wingers are Dayton (if he signs) who's had two really bad injuries, Brophy who took until about Feb to get fit last season, Jobi who's old and will probably be more focussed on coaching and JMD who is probably better behind the strikers.

Finally, our forward line needs a big signing. We MUST get a proven goalscorer at this level who has experience. Assuming that Alabi goes and Harrold/Ruel gets you 8 goals a season, Wilkinson around 12, we are missing about 15-20 goals from somewhere to be a mid table team. We probably need two strikers.

Best get going boys!

I don't know the breakdown but my point is that if he really was injury prone, he would have got injured at some point last season, despite not being a regular starter.

Chairman Nigel Travis said, "We are all pleased to recognise the second anniversary of our takeover but given the recent sad passing of Justin Edinburgh, we will not be celebrating the event this year.

As I mentioned in my video last Sunday there are many comings and goings at this time of year and our goal is to improve our squad so that we can compete well in League Two. I will take this opportunity to welcome new players to the Club and congratulate Ross, Danny and Jobi on their well earned 'interim' appointments."

Many comings and goings, so they are not shying away that new players coming in.
Changed their tune from earlier.
Damage limitation PR exercise with us losing Bonne and Koroma.

This.

Likely to be at least two new faces in before the Harlow friendly. And possibly a couple on trial in Spain.

Please don't tell me we're back to trialing untried and untested players at this level?

Of course players will come in, hopefully strong players, but we already have a decent squad looking at the list. Except for forwards and a strong CM player. They will arrive. Soon.

We have and are going hrough the most horrendous time both from a club and peoples perspective. We've lost the best manager since Bloomfield.

This is an unprecedented and an uncharted time. People need to chill out and let time take its course and all will be sorted, of that I'm sure.

Exactly, Nutty. When out squad is complete for the new season then I'll decide what our chances might be. At the moment, it's far too early to tell.
