I missed the announcement, then looked up when everyone was clapping, then realised who it was, then wondered what the heck it was about? What was it for?

The Big Mac was there too, and at least a couple of others, presumably the new investors?

Why did you mention him ? He’s left the club. Why can’t you let it go.

'What was it all about? What was that for?' I do sometimes wonder about some of the people who make contributions on this board, whether they are at matches and whether they actually appreciate what Nigel, Kent, Danny MacKlin have done for this club.

The pre-match lap was obviously their heartfelt way of showing thanks to the fans for their support during the epidemic when, lets be honest, the club could have been in dire straits. For me, more importantly, it was an opportunity for the true fans to show their appreciation for everything these people have done for our beloved club. We are now in the best position in my life time both financially and behind the scenes, probably a lot longer. Kent has just written off millions of his own money in having his share holding diluted to the club's benefit . Nigel has found investors to put our club on stable financial ground for the foreseeable future and to progress upwards.

I and everyone around me was touched by the lap around the pitch and it was great to see such a positive reaction from the crowd. I really hope that these key people did pick up our appreciation for all that they have done, it certainly started off a great afternoon. UTO's

The international feed was a bit bonkers. Matt Porter out-presenting the kids who normally do the show, with Kent at half time and Nigel at full time. After the half time break Kent went and accosted Dave and his oppo, calling them his two favourite people. Think somebody might have opened the drinks cabinet early.

I’m still confused. Were they thanking us for our continued support, or were we thanking them? All very strange, either way.

Can't be that hard to work out can it?..It was them showing their appreciation and giving us the opportunity to show ours.. Which I for one, duly accepted, with rapturous applause..

Thanks again to our owners for giving us a bright future!!

How many more times do they need to be thanked for ‘saving the club’? Get a grip.

After this summer’s debacle trying to get a refund and them asking for donations to the club and donations to fund the academy, after securing millions in investment, it takes the piss.

I wonder if any other owners felt the need to do the same yesterday or last Saturday.

I think it was Coley Parry. One of the new investors who certainly seemed to be enjoying the moment. Let's hope there's more enjoyment to follow!!
