Relaxation of restrictions was almost 1 month ago . From what i can see , the trend is pretty flat. Nowhere near the 200,000 cases predicted as possible by scientists. Needs a little longer to say that cases are rising and are of concern
200,000 predicted by Scientists was done for a full re-opening of society .
Hence why it was pushed back from July 19th to August 19th .
We will see if we are back to normal then or if bodge johnners
changes his mind again
What more is there to open to make any more difference. I have lost track of what is open and what isn’t.
I dont know what is left to open
Bodge said no going back on 19th july way back
But then went back
Case numbers have hovered between 25-30k for a few weeks now. It’s the trend that counts. Daily figures taken in isolation mean nothing
And the trend is that cases have been going up, as expected following relaxation of restrictions.

Cases have been going up for, what, 10-11 days now? Relaxation may have been a month ago but cases were always going to take up to two weeks to start to come through

Happy to apologise if I’m wrong. Let’s see what happens. Still too early to panic

No one is panicking
They are just responding to lots of
misquotes & misimformation .
ONS have just announced Covid statistics and they say that estimates suggest “ an overall decreasing trend over the past two weeks “
No misquotes or misinformation there , although I am not suggesting you meant me , Tuffers

If the ONS is quoting from data why are they "estimating"?
And you're referring to "an overall decreasing trend" in what exactly?
And how do these "estimates" compare against the fact that case numbers have been steadily rising for a couple of weeks?

I am simply relaying the quote from the ONS. It’s looks pretty clear to me. An overall decreasing trend in cases is what it says.
Make of it what you choose
I went to a pharmacist this afternoon to pick up a prescription for my wife. I wore a mask as I always do in shops etc, the two people in front of me didn't. Not wearing a mask in a pharmacy is one hell of a definition of personal responsibility!
