Unless whilst holding the victim in a headlock, Marv then done that thing with his other hand where you make the knuckle of your middle finger pronounced and dug that into his head. That proper smarts!

Because you've got nothing else to form an opinion on.
Given we weren't there and are not privy to the evidence so far, I've formed my opinion that this seems pretty unlikely from how he's conducted himself, on and off the pitch, over the past 18 months or whatever it's been. Nothing from that would indicate he is the sort to go around getting into rows and lumping people for no good reason.
What is that you've read on your news feed that makes you think he's guilty?
I don’t need anything else. I've formed an opinion on what I've read.
What makes you think "there's something about him" that brings me to this opinion?
I've stated my position pretty clearly - I've no idea what happened as wasn't there, haven't seen any evidence nor have I heard both sides of the story. I'm just saying from what I've seen of Marvin these past 18 months, it seems massively out of character.

Sure. But my position would still be the same, if he's found guilty it would still seem massively out of character to me.
You clearly know the guy. I’ve never met him other than watching him play, nor spoken to him. I have no idea what sort of character he is.

It would do if you've only seen him on a football pitch.
Don't tend to last too long by punching centre forwards and putting them in a headlock. Lots of witnesses too.
Obviously a bit tongue in cheek but come on, giving evidence from behind a f*** screen? He's not testifying against the mafia.
He's the alleged victim in an assault case. If he wants to avoid the man he alleges attacked him, he is entitled to that.
Of course.
But it all seems a bit dramatic for a headlock.
It's for the alleged victim to decide. As you've said many times in this thread, we don't know exactly what happened, so I don't know why you're trying to play it down as just a headlock.

Because portraying it that way suits his argument.

FFS, Steven's mummy is the one who said it was a headlock, don't blame me.

I've seen him off the pitch too. He always seems like a mild mannered, pleasant young man. Hardly as if he's in opponents faces, leaving one in on them, getting into arguments with them, is it.
Forget going to the flicks with his Mum, forget giving evidence from behind a screen, what annoys me most about this chap is that he needs to be able to hear an Avengers film. Strange.

Perhaps because they might give him one back
Yeah, proper shirker is Marv, always bottling it on the pitch
Important detail here: apparently he couldn't control his chattering during the film (it is alleged) but could control his anger until after the film was done, as he didn't want it to disturb other cinemagoers during the film. I'd say that was the mark of a considerate, mature professional.

Who cares, how about we back our player until all the facts are clear. Even if he is guilty it's his business whether it's right or wrong, I'll judge him on his football.
Would you feel the same if his victim was someone you knew?
