Ok got you now. But they are innocent until proven guilty.

I would suggest setting up a sting operation involving hidden cameras and a dog that bites thieves really hard.
I never suggested otherwise
I know. Can we proceed to agree on the breed of dog that is going to bite them up now. I suggest an Alsation as they go a bit radio rental once the get a taste. A Staffy or Bulldog would be ok but they tend to lock on and are hard to dislodge.
Wise decision, German Shepherd's are far easier to train

Reported it to both the council and the police , also spoke to the workers foreman who says they deny it and there's nothing he can do , the guys are still in the block today , now if I was accused of theft and I was innocent I would front the person accusing me , these guys have made no contact with me so far 🤔🤔

Not really - he did also say they were hard working.

Sorry to hear about your wife’s ring being taken like this, Ron. Hope she recovers it undamaged.
So what? That’s just another stereotype thrown in.

Indeed it is. As an owner of 2 bulldogs I can confirm that they are f*cking useless when it comes to home security due to the ease with which they can be bribed with any tiny titbit of food.

They are also lazy fuckers that can sleep through burglaries, storms, tempest and earthquakes.

I always lock away anything valuable if any workmen come into my home

If they’re back in your building today why not confront them face-to-face over it?

Hope you manage to get it back, and anyone whose first reaction is to jump on a passing comment on nationality rather than wish Ron luck needs to have a word with themselves

Unbelievable.
You let strangers in your house and didn’t hide valuables away?
Let me give you a piece of advice, don’t trust anyone you don’t know.

Suppose it’s become the norm on here for certain boarders to have a go at each other, no matter what the thread is about….usual suspects….play nicely 😀

He should think himself fortunate that he had valuables to hide. Many, many people dont. That said my thoughts are with you at this sad time Ronny.

I reported this to the local police and was advised to go on line and report a crime , I did this and about 4.30 recieved an e.mail from them saying i had a case for them to look into , they asked me to find out the names of the guys who were in my flat , I went down to the flat they are using as an office and the foreman was just locking up , I asked him the name of the guys and he said he's not allowed to pass names on , I asked him his name and he said none of your buissness befor walking away , could be fun and games when I go back there tomorrow 🤔🤔

Perhaps avoid touching the drawer in case it needs to be dusted for prints.

If you have requested the work to be done by the council and they have appointed contractors you might have a case against them as they are the ones who have appointed this firm to do the work on their behalf.

What case?
No evidence.
I advise him to be very careful accusing people of a crime with no evidence.

Where have you been for the last 20 years?
The police are not going to make themselves busy over a alleged minor theft.

Put it down to experience and learn from it.
Hide all valuables away when you have strangers in your house and trust no one.
Better to forget it and move on, making serious unproven allegations could land you in a lot of trouble.
