I think his work rate is his strong point but really there isn’t too much else I’m afraid, but I hope I and others on here are proved wrong and KJ can improve him as a player.
Really feel we need better quality in CM though if we gonna chase a top 3 spot.
This post is correct.

He was the water carrier in the promotion year to better players than this season in Bonne, Koroma and a 2 year younger Jobi. That role suits him. That’s not good enough though, not when he has been here 4 years, he has just been offered a 2 year contract and he was/is captain. On that basis I also want him to be able to step up and create and be influential when it’s a bit more of a struggle. You didn’t watch the games last season if you think he was in any way influential. League two is also a step to far for him generally. Yes, he runs a lot. So does, a womble in the London marathon but I don’t want uncle Bulgaria starting in centre mid either.

Ok, 3 years 10 months, but let’s not be pedantic.

You need players like Clay in your squad if you want to get promotion.

Successful teams at every level have them. They do the running so better players don’t have to. Kenny Jackett wants to play a high press next season, good luck without people who run their bollocks off for 90 mins.

Some players can run about for 90 mins, and also pass and trap a ball.

He can trap a ball and pass, that’s just a lie to say he can’t. Now Ling is gone, you’re looking for a new scapegoat.

I'm not 100% in favour of scapegoats but if we have to have one the choice of Clay is the correct one

From the pre-season photo galleries and Wet Spam hi-lites IMO he has lost some weight from last season, as has Cisse. Is that Prately or Jackett's doing, I wonder.
