I think the owners have got to show the fans a bit of backbone.
The owners pay the bills not the fans.
They shouldn’t take any notice of someone who pays £300 Pa.
Peanuts.
Almost correct but swap fans for DoF who has cost them £150k (conservative estimate) in failed managerial appointments.
Without the fans onside they lose the whole #ourclub premise and it's a slippery slope downwards from there. This appointment could be make or break if they make another big screwup.

Not really.
The fans will still turn up.
Football fans are like that.
Can’t believe why the owners are so accessible, no mileage in it.

I am quite happy with the delay if the owners have learnt from their past mistakes and bring in a proven, experienced Manager at this level or above. My definition of proven is that they have got a club promoted from this level or above.
Bearing in mind the above what will not be acceptable is any of Lings old mates getting the job or going for the cheapest option or any pre set criteria that puts off applicants.
Calderwood ticks all the boxes.
2 promotions and a win rate of 1.46%.
Vast experience as a coach.
His last promotion was in 2008 . His win ratio over all the clubs he managed was 39.5% ? The fact he is a friend of Ling if he gets the job it’s “old pals act again “ Ling does not want anybody to upset his domain . Looks nailed on.

39.5% is better than most of the others on the list and he has a huge amount of coaching experience.

The day trippers who go to see their friends more than the football might. The more hardcore element who actually care about what they see on the pitch are fed up with the ongoing shambles Ling is overseeing.
The owners get the value-add in keeping fans closely involved. That's why they're winning awards for the streaming service and social media work that much bigger sides haven't done as well as we have. Shame they're not so switched on about the DoF's responsibility in where we find ourselves with no direction or clue on the pitch.

The direction is upwards, our league position has improved every year and you know that, so stop the vendetta.
Not because of Ling, in spite of him.
Fletcher - screwed it up
Embleton - screwed it up
McAnuff - waste of time
The first two are completely on the DoF, simple as that

Embleton did not screw it up
McAnuff did about as well as expected with the squad at his disposal
How can you say embleflop didn't screw up, did you not see our games have you ever in recent years see a guy that was hopelessly out of his depth and didn't have a clue what to do

Ling screwed it up putting Embleton in as permanent manager after the guy had stepped down previously. When it suited Ling then stuck the knife in his back with some of the comments he made late in RE reign, teflon man absolving himself of the blame again.
Manager does poorly, they lose their job
DoF does poorly choosing said managers not once but three times, gets to carry on unchallenged

So another 8 years and we make the playoffs? Great!
