God knows how they managed to justify their trips to India while we were in lockdown. Government was far too slow to restrict entry from India.

Other boarders were too keen on pulling my post apart rather than taking note of my concerns at the time.
You can only blame Bodge & His government for allowing it .
Nobody else is to blame for this !

Agreed Tuffers. It took until last week for WHO to recognise that the Indian variant was a variant of concern , despite scientists saying so since mid March. Staggering incompetence

Ridiculous response. Where are the shouters criticising irresponsible Indians for travelling during lockdown, particularly knowing the state of the virus in India. Many complained that they were not given enough notice to return before being red listed. The fact is that they should not have traveled there in the first place and now we will suffer the consequencesOrnchurch wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 11:19 pmWhere are the racist shouters?Clive Evans wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 12:21 pm What is not being said, except discretely, is that these spikes are occurring in areas with high Asian population. Re: Coronavirus
Whats an Indian variant and making a baseless claim that rates were high in Redbridge because of the brown people living there, got to do with each other?

Let's try and get this straight. You get irritated when people call out racism but now you're getting irritated because they're not calling out racism because it isn't there. You're a bit confused aren't you.Ornchurch wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 11:19 pmWhere are the racist shouters?Clive Evans wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 12:21 pm What is not being said, except discretely, is that these spikes are occurring in areas with high Asian population. Here we go. It wasn’t a baseless claim. Redbridge had one off the highest rates in London and the ‘worst’ area in Redbridge was around Ilford Lane. Who mainly make up the population around Ilford Lane? No different to highlighting the area where the current Indian variant are at their highest.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri May 14, 2021 10:41 amWhats an Indian variant and making a baseless claim that rates were high in Redbridge because of the brown people living there, got to do with each other?

Re: Coronavirus
There are a lot of points around these latest spikes. Some concern the Asian community. Some don't. Firstly the Indian variety seems to spread much more easily, that much is obvious. Another point I have heard by serious people ( ie scientists ), is that track and trace doesn't work especially with this variant and also with the Asian community. It spreads so quickly, that by the time contacts have been traced, it has already spread. The Asians tend to live in multi-generational units, so schoolkids spread to elders etc. Lots work in the grottier jobs Mc D's , transport etc. So if infected and not all that ill, why are they gonna stay home with no pay? Then throw into the mix, some vaccination resistance. With all the feedback they get fed from relatives and friends in India, I bet there has been a better take-up of vaccination in the UK now. But going by my own test results, it can take 3-4 weeks after first jab to get anti-bodies.
It was criminal the way the Government was slow out of the blocks, stopping people coming in from India. Some rumours I hear, mean there are ways and means to get around bans. Consytanza, on here, said how easy it is to get from Ireland to UK via the 6 Counties. I await to see more info on how the jab stops the Indian variety. My instincts tell me it is quite effective. My main point, is that Government and Officials should learn from the child abuse scandal. Where race is an issue, take the bull by the horns and tackle the issue. Bloody Hell there are loads of Indians in the Medical Professions, they are the ones that can tackle the issues with proper sensitivities. Everyone has got responsibilities- white twats seem to be the worse offenders for non-mask wearing ( some of my friends included )
