Exactly, it’s not a real border. The Israeli border is the sea one side too. Borders change in a lot of countries over the years and wars are fought over it. It’s a man made decision to impliment and change them, there aren’t handy markings from God telling everyone what each country should be.
I’m not sure the point you’re getting at. A map of the area from before Judah was its own thing, it shows the whole area is called the Kingdom of Israel
If its not a real border , why is anyone fighting ?
To say Judah iwas its own thing is a bit weak to be fair .
After all didnt Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt ?
I'm genuinely not arguing any facts here , which you seem to think I am .
I am merely seeking knowledge about what technically is an area greater
Than Judea .
Weren't the Israelites originally from Cannan ?
Im really only trying to see what defines someones
rights to a homeland of what was a region dominated by
Pharohs & Deserts .
Feom the map I saw, The Kingdom of Israel was the north of what Israel is now and Judah is a portion below it not including Gaza.
I know you’re not, what you’re describing shows how complex this whole thing is. Both sides have a claim to the land for various reasons.
Catholics in the north of Ireland can have Irish citizenship if they want, despite the technicalities for what of a better word. It seems like this highly emotive issue is treated like a black and white subject.
Canaan was the whole region wasn’t it? A lot bigger, including what is now Lebanon and part of Syria and extended south east.
I’m pretty much done talking about it. You’ve raised some good points that I’m going to read up on though
Im not sure why you keep referring to Ireland be it south west east or north as we have already agreed an island is bordered specifically only by the sea.
Canaan if you read about it throws even more confusion into things .
As i am aware admittedly from reading a thin history of the israelites &
The Old testamemnt which purports to be the Torah when in fact it is an
incomplete version of the Torah ,
Canaan is the foundation of the Israelites
& therefore the birthplace of Israel ?
But Moses was spoken to by God at Mount Sinai &
Where he was told to lead the Israelites out of Egypt
to the promised land .
My apologies to any of our Jewish board members
If i have given a pithy ( is that the right word)
Explanation of the start of Judaism but im trying to
find out what was before Judaism & the Israelites &
am in no way trying to Insult the religion or the people
of the religon .
Its a Fascinating history of an area as well as in the
Context of all 3 abrahamic faiths .
