I just knew that Calderwood would make an entry somewhere down the line. Hold your breath everyone.

Hope Embleton now moved into the top three. Or even better, Ling himself.

Melinda Messenger will assist and next years walk on music will be provided by XTC. Mark Larmar will spin the pre game discs and Julian Clarey will replace Dulcet Dave with regards to match commentaries.

What, like most football managers? As far as I can see he's been sacked 3 times. Less often than, for example, Russell Slade. (and, for the record, NOWHERE, have I said he's a better manager than Slade, just introducing some facts)

Anyone fancy losing £2? If enough of us put bets on Ross, we could make him favourite

Naff all relevant experience in the past 10 years. Shocking win rate. Sacked by Cambridge.
He does not represent any positives for our manager. Will be hugely annoyed if we employ someone who, over the past decade, is little better than Ross.
Not a serious contender for an ambitious club. But a cheaper option! Go cheap, buy failure.
Won’t happen.

All these rumours like someone on here earlier said that the odds on our next manager goes up every time someone bets on it we all have got to be patient

Re: Colin Calderwood now 2nd favourite
With Ling involved it could well happen I suppose, given some of his previous appointments.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 1:02 pmGood post, however im not as confident as you that it wont happenDohnut wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 12:09 pmNaff all relevant experience in the past 10 years. But surely the Board, Travis, will take far more interest this time. He said he would after Fletcher. And I just cannot understand a decision coming down in favour of Calderwood. Makes absolutely no sense. Most of the past 10 years he has been an assistant and the one time he goes for the big one, he fails. And with a 24% win rate.
The more I think about it the more I’m convinced it won’t be him. Maybe we won’t be able to get Jackett, but there are better options out there. Calderwood is scraping the barrel. It’s “hit and hope” stuff. Ross, Fletcher, Jobi. We won’t do it a 4th time.
Will we?

I for one will be very dissapointed if Calderwood was given the job. It will be another “ Old pals act”. We have had too many of them over the last 3 years.

The owners credibility would be completely blown if Ling is allowed to bring in another old mate, surely they coudnt be that stupid.

After Jackett going odds-on, the appointment of Calderwood would be taking the absolute pI ss.

I agree. Calderwood’s appointment would signal that not much has been learned

Re: Colin Calderwood now 2nd favourite
How can the odds change so fast. This time yesterday Jackett odds was 1/3 and Calderwood 12/1. Ling has probably put a Fiver on Calderwood. Let’s hope it’s not his old mate Calderwood

I'm not a betting man, but to me those odds sound like they are very close.
