What about the Irish people who fought in the wars .Chicken Dhansak wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 9:36 pm Tuffs, what about the thousands of Irish soldiers that fought and died in both world wars? They volunteered to fight in both the conflicts.
What happened to the Irish people at the hands of the British government after the war was a terrible slur on Westminster.
The two wars were totally different in their origins. WW1 was fought because the super powers, at the time, Britain, Germany and the
Austro-Hungarian empire all got mixed up in it after the assassination of the Arch Duke Ferdinand, and their respective Royal Families
could not or would not stop the ensuing hell that resulted, all blood payed for by the common working man.
WW2 was simply to stop a crazed megalomaniac from taking over the world along with Japan.
Just as an aside, I wonder if coyos got a lazy lob on after doctoring HK's picture.
Good for them , honestly good for them
What about Soldier A & C who were let off yesterday for killing a man by shooting him in the back ?
What about soldier F on Bloody Sunday who is still awaiting
Trial & other soldiers awaiting trials ?
What about the same group of Paras who 6 months earlier were at the Ballymurphy massacre ?
Or the soldiers who fired the rubber bullets that killed
11 year old Francis Rowntree or 15 year old Seamus Duffy ?
How about the Soldier who shot 23 year old Aiden McAnespie , who was shot on his way to play Gaelic Football ?
The Same Soldier who was initially charged but then let off .
Is any of the " TOMMY MONEY going to them ?
It seems a stand against Bigotry only goes so far !
