TBF he was a 1 in 2 goalscorer last season, has a bit of sh*t about it. Only worry is ive seen a few 'lazy' comments about. After Bonne, he will stand out like a sore thumb if he jogs around for 90 mins.

We need a straight swap for Bonne so we still need another striker. . I reckon us wanting Wilkinson is the reason we didn't go for McCallum. Having just read the link to the Gillingham messageboard , I'm a bit worried . Hopefully he will do better for us and proves a success .

Just listened to Steve Thompson whoosh the daggers md, he said Connor turned down 2 or 3 league 1 and 2 clubs after the end of the season. Last week we phoned and exercised his buyout clause and we got him.

This suggests this is post Justin, which kind of backs up what I said in the Bonne thread, now he’s gone the landscape changed.

But he may have been one of the players that Edinburgh had earmarked on his "watch" list for us to follow with a viewing to a potential transfer. Then when the bid came in for Bonne we made our move.

It would be great to see the comments on here in July 2017 when we signed a 21yo striker on a free who had played 90 games and had 8 goals to his name. Suspect we were seriously underwhelmed with that. Wilkinson is a different type of striker to Bonne but we are going down the same route.

I accept that . I've just read the Dagenham messageboard and it's the complete opposite . We'll just have to wait and see how he goes although I still think we need a straight replacement for Bonne because I don't think Wilkinson is .

McCormack was good.............the very first time he went on a run. Never ever came close to repeating it.

Here's one for somebody's memory. We had a young Aussie in the early-mid 90's who played really well for 5 minutes; ran 70 yards with the ball and looked a real discovery - and then promptly did nothing ever again. What was his name????

I reckon he will do well. The big question is, who will he be partnered by?

Twelve goals last season, only two with his head and 9 of the other 10 with his left foot. Scored against Fylde, Salford, Harrogate and Solihull Moors. Love the chip (circa 2.50) against the latter.

Garcia was quality. If he'd not done his ligaments in then him and SCG would have torn the division apart.

He is a big bully boy up top, a younger Harrold and cant imagine he is actually Bonne's replacement.

Was relatively impressed with him last season (even though he was a kicking, diving, cheat).

His league goalscoring record is pretty much non-existent but he is a good enough player as a hold up player for Koroma/a new signing.

Not according to gills fans he ain’t.

Buyout clause covered his wages for last season, I reckon £25,000 - £50,000 ballpark. Don't really know much about him to be honest apart from he's got a great record at Dagenham and I've heard great things there, but he's got a poor record at Gillingham, so... I trust our scouting department/Ling have got this one right.

Chairman stated the buy out clause covered his wages from the end of the season until 30 June, a couple of months money, so much less than the figures you’ve quoted.

I was told at the end of May that he wasn't signing. This was by the same person who told me that Josh Wright would be signing.
