DD says 4 wins on the trot is the first time since 2015 in Ian Hendon's reign

Points in the bag are more important than games in hand.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:49 pmThe only fly in the ointment is the two ahead of us (Newport and Exeter) and the one behind us (Bradford) have a game in hand.

Fantastic stuff from Jobi and the team. That's now four wins in a row and our season is still very much alive . COME ON YOU O's !
Re: Match Day Thread vs Mansfield 2nd April 2021
Well done O's! Worked hard, defended hard and DJ poaching again. Some good results above us as well.

Turley was immense once more how he was ignored for so long is an absolute mystery to me. Also a big shout out to Akinola as well those two were like two pillars of stone with the motto of gangulf “you shall not pass”

That’s been the case since Jobi took over. Has always had to be factored into our position.Eat The Rich wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 4:49 pmThe only fly in the ointment is the two ahead of us (Newport and Exeter) and the one behind us (Bradford) have a game in hand.

Great result . Very compact and wanted to win every second ball. Defence played with authority with Turley and Ankinola superb . Cannot fault anybody even Ling played well.

Nice and solid away win. Job done.
Momentum really with us now.
Huge game on Monday.
Keep it up O’s
Johnson scoring again is almost as important as winning today

If we do make the playoffs we'll be the 'form' team. EXCITING!

Re: Match Day Thread vs Mansfield 2nd April 2021
I think that is the truth of it. Ling played well, got the assist and made some decent clearances. Did OK. But too often the wrong side of his man and stranded up field, slow in getting back. Kemp, Jobi, Akinola all at times covered for him. Can’t have been team orders for him to push whilst the likes of Kemp and Jobi stay back. So well done the team for covering, to be fair they did for each other.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 3:38 pm^ yeah, not leaving your weakest link exposed as opposed to just hoping everything will be ok as we played under Embleton is smart.Apple Wumble wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 3:36 pmAt least he’s admitted the weakness and done something about itRonnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 3:34 pm The level of protection being afforded to Ling is ridiculous. Jobi practically playing behind Kemp to help him out.

What a total surprise it is with our 4th win on the trot ?!! Tempo increased, players played in right positions, forward balls, Brophy in on the left wing, Turley back from the cold, players playing in a more positive way as opposed to sideways , backwards etc. Mmm, hopefully, we haven't left it too late.

Amazing isn't it, who could've seen that being the answer?Four four two wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 6:00 pm What a total surprise it is with our 4th win on the trot ?!! Now the question is would you change this side for the next game if the two absentees today are fit to return? I guess Jobi will want to take himself out if at all possible.

Yes, I would definitely put Happe back in and shuffle Akinola back out to RB.gshaw wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 6:27 pmAmazing isn't it, who could've seen that being the answer?Four four two wrote: ↑Fri Apr 02, 2021 6:00 pm What a total surprise it is with our 4th win on the trot ?!! Yes, I would definitely bring Wilko back in for Jobi and get Kemp back in the middle of the pitch.
