The team of Jobi and Danny was always going to be a better bet regardless of which one of them was chosen as the number one and number two.

Re: Table
I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high but we've definitely given ourselves a decent chance of the play offs.

Re: Table
Still a massive ask - it’s just the last spot hats in reach, 5th and 6th are big gaps to make up.
Makes an exciting end to an otherwise sh*t season, though. Thank you Jobi,

Re: Table
Jobi said from the start he wanted us in with a fighting chance, well we are in with a fighting chance.
The players are all pulling in the same direction, working hard for each other and you can see the confidence coming back and the togetherness. Look at when Kemp got dumped on his arse on the touch line and the player behind comes through and booted the ball at his back. Tristan was straight in on him, that’s an all for one attitude and it’s what Jobi would be looking for.
On a separate now where’s Still wrong?

Re: Table
Yep. Great run of form for us under McAnuff. It's just a shame the only loss came against the team we're competing with for a chance to get the last playoff spot.

Re: Table
We will still need a minimum of 71 points.
This is 6 wins from 9.
Unlikely, but this bloke is obviously getting more out of them than Ross.
if he gets us to 63 points then he should get the job.

Realistically there is no chance of us getting that total.
Jobi is doing a good job though.

Re: Table
So out of 27 points available we will only pick up 10?
Currently he is winning 2 points per game. You think it’s going to suddenly halve? We are on a run, we have confidence coming back, Jobi said everyone in the club now has defined roles, everyone knows what’s expected of them.
Except you who thinks we will more or less collapse.
OK.

We will still need a major clear out at the end of the season when we finish 12th.
i suspect we will lose a couple on the bounce and realisation will creep in.

You said they were 'always going to be a better bet'. So you thought that prior to any results. Why?Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 5:46 pmThe recent results show why.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 5:28 pmWhy is that?Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 5:13 pm

Common sense football wise that we were going nowhere with Ross in charge and that the guys now in charge have far more football know how than he has.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 5:28 pmWhy is that?Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 5:13 pmI can only but wonder as to why Ross was kept on for so long when it was quite obvious that his time had come to go.Thor wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 5:06 pm Looking positive.

Re: Table
McAnuff has done very well but you're comparing Embelton's whole time in charge to a sample of 7 games from McAnuff. Though what is there to say Senda would have done much better job than Embleton other than you having a hard on for him because you liked an interview he did?Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 9:12 pmCommon sense football wise that we were going nowhere with Ross in charge and that the guys now in charge have far more football know how than he has.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 5:28 pmWhy is that?Sid Bishop wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 5:13 pm

Afterall, management have been criticised for placing too much emphasis on the outcome of an interview process rather than a managerial track record.
