Veteran Players who would be great down the Os
Down the years the club has had a few once genuinely brilliant players who were by that time at or sometimes well past their prime.
Just wondering which older player you would like to do the odd season or two at the Os to round off their career.
I’d plump for James Milner due to his tremendous utility and football brain. Even in his late 30s Milner would be an asset.

TBF though we've also had some who didn't QUITE match up to their reputation - Colin West, Kevin Nolan and, of course, James Scowcroft spring to mind.

Big Kev, I am sure would love to play for us. Imagine having played for Belgium & Orient on your CV.

Jimmy Greaves because according to some on here he'd definitely have been at least as good in the modern game as he was in the olden days, despite football being so much more different and the world moving on.

Give Andy Carroll another couple of years and he'll be a proper veteran and maybe fancying a return to London, perfect for those big unhelpful humps down the middle from DJ's perspective where he's battling with some giant defender!

Peter Shilton. He can't be any worse at 71 than he was at 47.
