Re: Who am I?
Correct.
The book the quotes were taken from is "Captain of Scotland" signed by Big George for my old man who was a St Mirren supporter.

Re: Who am I?
When George needed money from a testimonial he asked his old team mate Willie Waddell, then manager of Rangers, if it could be held at Ibrox.
Waddell refused and it had to be held at the 15,000 capacity Brockville. Apparently back in the day when Young was captain of Scotland and there was no manager he had a significant influence on team selection and had favoured Jim Delaney of Celtic on the right wing rather than Waddell, his Rangers team mate. There was apparently a sour note to their relationship that led Waddell to be a lady's front bottom.
