Re: Kenny Jacket -Departed Portsmouth
Funny thing is Jacket was joint manager of the year with Russell Slade in 2014.
Wolves wage bill 7 million
Orients 1.8 m
I would still like to see Russ back to steady the ship.

Agree with you Ron 100% He would definitely get us promoted and may be this season, however answer is no, we wont spend that much and Martin won't let it happen, but we can dream and look forward to next year in Div 2 again

Re: Kenny Jacket -Departed Portsmouth
Given time I’m pretty sure Jobi will do a better job than a Jenny Jacket at Leyton Orient.
Just like a Russell Slade did an equal or better job than Jacket in the play-off season, when you give a weighting to resources.

Kenny would no doubt argue against I would imagine.PoundhillO wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 10:13 pmAbsolutely, we cannot afford to not ask.redintheface wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 9:31 pmOf course, but the costs nothing to enquire does it?Still wrong wrote: ↑Sun Mar 14, 2021 9:09 pm This bloke would be a great appointment.
44% win rate.
A little bit expensive though.
He may be a bit expensive but that can be countered by getting rid of all the assistant coaches .
At least it would be value for money getting an experienced, proven Manager at this level and above.
Who could possibly argue against ?

Wonder if poundhillo was the bloke who was telling Ling we should have got that guy who was managing in the championship instead of fletcher

Are we going to get a thread like this when anyone from a higher division is sacked?

I suspect we will. Just go with the flow but accept we can't afford any of them and our owners will make yet another managerial mistake in due course.Smendrick Feaselberg wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 10:06 am Are we going to get a thread like this when anyone from a higher division is sacked?
That said I'm wondering if the combined wages of The DoF and manager plus say a share in transfer receipts for players brought in, developed and sold on might snare us a decent manager.

Come on Max, this isn't the place to be talking sense. You are setting a standard that is beyond most of the other 5 on here.Max B Gold wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 10:19 amI suspect we will. I'd like to see the club approach Jack Ross at Hibernian at the end of the season
He's done a good job there and would probably relish the step up in competition

Re: Kenny Jacket -Departed Portsmouth
Agreed. And Jobi is still securely in the box seat. Some fans may wish otherwise, but the reality is that if they want someone more experienced to come in, they are also wishing for the team to perform very badly for the rest of the season in order for Jobi to lose the confidence of the owners.Orient Punxx wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 6:53 am Given time I’m pretty sure Jobi will do a better job than a Jenny Jacket at Leyton Orient.

FWIW I very much doubt that will happen. I expect us to end the season positively.
