So based on the average nurses pay of £34k, the 1% pay rise (which is actually a pay cut in purchasing power due to that darn inflation thingy) would be the equivalent of about a portion of fish & chips every week. Keep clear of exotics like plaice or skate or you've blown it big time.

Not sure if this has been posted before: too much to wade through. The country was promised that if Brexit happened, 350 million pounds a week would provide a NHS windfall. Surely, a portion of this could be used to top-up Nurses’pay?

That's a bit selfish. Can't Jimbo and wife join a union or something, that I believe they still have these days, and demand a bigger share of the profits the owner of the business he works for keeps to himself and selfishly won't share.

Can't see why not. Once he made up his mind which side it would be career enhancing to campaign for Boris said that's what would happen. He was so confident he put it in writing on the side of a big red bus. He likes buses especially red ones.
