The club loves throwing shade at this board 😂💁‍♀️
And the board will keep throwing it back at them with results like today. Glass houses and all that.
Always carefully covering all your bases aren’t you

1. Did we play 4-4-2 (Y/N)
2. Did we win? (Y/N)

YY: “just shows how clueless Ross was!”
YN: blame Jobi’s inexperience
NY: “we only won because the opposition were terrible”
NN: talk about Jobi being part of the problem and Ross Mk II
All of this is classic gshaw

YY yes he was, never deviated from that view from day one. Decent coach but never right for the big job
YN haven't said that, show me where
NY anyone with a brain would say Grimsby were terrible but there was an uptick in performance to get the result, so your point is?
NN haven't said that either, I know the post you're thinking of but as Shaggy said "it wasn't me"...
RBMarshall wrote: Sat Mar 06, 2021 10:25 pm In summary, Jobi was of course part of the Embleton problem being his right hand man and where a settled, confident first team normally excels, at this level Jobi hasn't got the luxury of time (re: interim job title) so he will chop and change with a whole host of players whose careers are going in the wrong direction and individual errors will cost us time after time.
Really hope I'm wrong but this is how I see it.
As for formation whether it's 4-4-2, 3-4-3, 3-5-2 or anything else for that matter just try something different ffs. Yesterday was a free hit to at least learn something from the game. Had a whole season of generally dire performances covered up by Johnson's purple patch and it really shows now he's not returned at the same level.

No hiding. Spoke like an experienced manager IMO. "We've had words" or something like that. Yes, I bet I know who said the most. Good interview from him. I await Tuesday with high expectation.

C'mon Jobi, COYOs - I've got faith in you.

I don’t think he intended DJ to be so isolated.
Probably not. Just down to miscommunication throughout the entire team.

We seriously need a proper manager.
Jobi is a " proper manager " in terms of mangerial attributes / leadership and communication quality - the only attribute that he has not got is actual mangerial expierence - however in his case that is offset of his years of playing under proven managers at a high level as a captain and he will know exactly how a team can win games - what he cannot do is rely on any player to execute his instructions precisely to complete his game plan.

Win or lose I am very comfortable with him - in his two interviews to date one can clearly see the mangerial ability in his chosen words and how he explains simply his thoughts

Give the guy a genuine decent time before one starts negative football remarks about his mangerial potential converted to any premature conclusion.

It could be a long haul getting the team to gel into what he wants and I trust people can be tolerate to him and the club to not get too excited after a win or too despondent after a lost game
Well said that man

Wilkinson Clay Kyprianou Broohy
Abrahams Johnson
I agree with that lineup except I’d swap Wilkinson for Kemp and put Wilkinson alongside Johnson. I’d have Abrahams on the bench.
Wilkinson does not have the bottle to play as a Harrold type of player at CF.

Its not necessarily about bottle, but some want the ball to feet all the time rather than 7 feet in the air.

This, he doesn't like the physical battles or going up for headers against big lump CBs. Not really sure where he fits, no doubt he has skills and technique but isn't a target man and not as fast as someone like Bonne to run in behind. False 9 perhaps where he gets the ball to feet deeper?

The midfield is where we're still losing the battle, Clay will be more effective against Stevenage I reckon. The must obvious swap is Kyprianou for Cissé, perhaps with Clay doing a more defensive role and Hector carrying the ball forward.

He wouldn’t be playing as a Harold type player. But he does he have enough of a physical presence to play centrally.

DJ and Wilko together as a two has to be worth a go at some point.

Absolutely - it’s got to be the easiest and most effective way of changing things as well!
