The welfare of horses is secondary to the business. Dog racing is probably even worse shame ackney hawks don’t post anymore as he knows the business very well.

Hopefully Elliott gets a ban, but his business will in all probability not be affected.

Bet Fair have already pulled Sponsorship

Michael O'leary is backing him for the time being .

Yet to see if any of his other owners shift there
Horses to other stables . If he gets a year or 2 year ban
His yard will be closed down , O'leary & Gigginstown will
have to go elsewhere for trainers .
He would need to re-start completely if he can .

Its upto IHR to set a hefty ban .

Total over reaction in my opinion. He made a serious error of judgement and it was in extreme bad taste, but some of the reaction to this..... give me a break, anyone would think he killed the poor animal.

As usual, as is the thing nowadays with social media, everyone loves the opportunity to be ‘outraged’.

I’m outraged - has totally tarnished the sport. He’s sitting on it like some ‘trophy cunter’.

Banned from UK racing at least temporarily - hopefully to include Cheltenham.

Its not good at all.

Glad they've banned him here temporarily ,
Untill IHR complete there 8nvestiagtion .

It will just add fire to.the campaign to ban all
forms of racing by those who want that to happen

I dont doubt he cares for the Horses , but being
A horse person he should know not to sit on a dead animal.

Get a grip he sat on a horse that had already died of a heart attack. Yes it’s crass and insensitive but really people need to wind it in a bit. People make silly mistakes, he totally regrets what happened. As I say , we now live with a social media faux rage culture where everyone feels the need to be judge and jury all the time. Fine, slap on wrist and move on. Tomorrow’s chip paper...

Rubbish. The British public love animals. We are not some third world hovel. We put up with the spectacle of horse racing and dog racing due to the expectation that the animals involved are well looked after. This photo shows that even at the very top of the game, the animal means nothing and is just a piece of meat to line the pockets of the wealthy. Hope they ban him for life.

It is not just the outrage felt by people in the business. They know only too well, that the forces against them, are well organised and will use this as leverage against horse racing. I used to love a flutter on the National, but presentation was so sanitised, more recently the true carnage of this event has been brought to the fore. I now avoid bets on this type of thing. What pours salt in the wound is the self-satisfied look on this warped geezer's face. He knew what he was doing. I hope they hit him hard and fast with sanctions. Disrespect to animals is still a worry in the UK, unfortunately rotten from the top downwards. In fact probably a lot worse at the top. Tally Ho !!!!!

I know nothing about horse racing or this man but just from his photo I am amazed that it’s turned out he’s a massive ****.

Total and utter over reaction, just being seen to do the ‘right thing’ because Anger from Manchester is venting his or her spleen on sm.

Let’s put this into perspective. This isn’t a small operation that Elliott runs. You think it’s fair that people (stablehands in the yard) are in great danger now of not only losing the animals they love and take care of 24/7 but also most likely their employment because of one mans stupid and crass actions. You honestly think that’s right then?

That’s the problem with sm and society nowadays, people are happy to pile in and come out with their sensationalist statements like you do tuff without seriously thinking of the consequences to EVERYONE involved.

If the yard goes the horses will be transferred & so will the jobs of the staff !

Just like they did when O'Leary decided he didnt want to pay the extra.€
at the Mullins yard & 60 horses were placed elsewhere.

Elliott. F*cked up ,
He will serve a ban if one is placed on him by IRH & will probably try to
re-start if he is backed . I dont think he should be permanantly banned ,
but a ban will satiate the Money in Racing .

Shame the racing authorities around the world dont
feel the same about the sheihks horses in blue .
Now that should be a Life time ban for what he is being
accused of .

Yeah it's as easy as that isn't it, move with the horses, when in some cases it could be miles away to the otherside of Ireland to stables that already have lots of workers already there , easy as that... deary me

At least it looks like Michael O'Leary, a man of principle, is standing by his man.

If IHR ban him expect O'Leary to be stabling his horse elsewhere .

Obviously you didnt listen to the Cleveley stud interview .

We are in the process of moving the horses now .
P.S you do onow the stable lads ( boys & gals ) are usually
housed close to the stables after they left different parts of Ireland dont you .

Mullins yard is maybe a 2 hour drive from Elliots .

Davey Russell travels all the way from Youghal county cork
To race for Elliots stable . All over Ireland ,
its not donkeys pulling carts over there nowadays !
