Know who also had a good history in the game? Carl Fletcher.Dohnut (ALM) wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 9:48 pmYou think given his history in the game he does not have the ability to step up now!

Re: Jobi
Many didn't during his first spell at the club. 'NotAnuff' was his moniker then.

Just because he’s played a lot of games, at whatever level, is irrelevant.Dohnut (ALM) wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 9:10 pm750 games from international games to NL and being captain in the Premier League suggests to me he has an in-depth knowledge of football, formations, tactics and how to lead. We can see he is a leader. I doubt the step up the Manager will phase him. I’ve no doubt the players already respect him, his knowledge and what he has to say.Stowaway wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 7:32 pm Not Jobi, please. We’ve spent the last 18 months or so witnessing what an inexperienced manager is like. Jobi is a bona fide club hero and a great human being but he’s not what we need right now. Imagine if it goes horribly tits up and ends up getting the boot? That would be terrible, given the almost universal love for Jobi here.
He’ll be a great manager one day, I’m sure. But he has to learn his craft first.

Re: Jobi
Maybe. But the fact remains that he’s never managed anything, and that’s the issue. No-one, least of all me, is doubting his footballing experience. But he’s never so much as managed an under-11’a side.Dohnut (ALM) wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 9:10 pm750 games from international games to NL and being captain in the Premier League suggests to me he has an in-depth knowledge of football, formations, tactics and how to lead. Re: Jobi
Well, the last bloke we had in charge who had managed kids' football didn't do so well, so I don't think it's a great qualification for the roleStowaway wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 12:41 amMaybe.
