Anyone else makes that challenge, it would have been a red.

Re: Exiles thread vs Tranmere
Only useful when he's up pretending to be a winger, where he should be playing the whole time. Tranmere know what he's going to do and just popping ball over the top once it breaks down. Not blaming the player but the manager who puts him at LB.
Re: Exiles thread vs Tranmere
HT and another frustrating Orient display. Can't say Tranmere are better than us but still can't see where a goal's going to come from.

Another 45 mins without a shot on target. Congratulations Ross the boss, objective achieved.

With Jobi and Freeman in midfield, there’s no excuse to not be creating chances

You mentioned him in the goal when it had nothing to do with him.
Brophy at LB is not our problem. He’s our main way of moving the ball from back to front.

Half- time analysis ‘quite disappointing’
So incisive
I want whatever posi-drugs Wilkie is on.
Butler at least looks suitably dischuffed but then ruins it by saying that we ‘really need to try and score in the second half’

There is when they’re all so isolated, with nothing ahead of them.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:52 pm With Jobi and Freeman in midfield, there’s no excuse to not be creating chances

One goal in seven, no in seven, almost like there is a constant trend of no goals and no wins but still doing exactly the same things for the last seven games

They have 3 players ahead of them. They’re not taking risky chances and the front 3 aren’t making runs. Everyone wants it to feet and their back to goalRonnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:53 pmThere is when they’re all so isolated, with nothing ahead of them.BiggsyMalone wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:52 pm With Jobi and Freeman in midfield, there’s no excuse to not be creating chances

Re: Exiles thread vs Tranmere
Just watching it at HT still think that first phase when the ball goes down towards the corner he's weak in the challenge which allows the ball to come back down the line, then inside for the cross. A proper LB puts a strong foot in.Ronnie Hotdogs wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:53 pmYou mentioned him in the goal when it had nothing to do with him.

Happe comes out very poorly too once the cross comes in, he's not been at it since returning from suspension.
Drop Wilkinson, play Brophy on the wing where he should be the whole time. That's where he's dangerous, so frustrating.

Someone earlier in the week pointed out that Tranmere were absolute dogshit at their place earlier in the season. They have the same squad and a new manager, and now look at them. Just saying.

Re: Exiles thread vs Tranmere
Exactly the same as the last few games. We’ve had all the ball but failed to create anything other than two shots which Brophy and Wilko created for themselves from nothing.
The only change Ross has made is switching Kemp and Wilko over to opposite wings. Brophy and Kemp had looked like forming a decent partnership last game, so he’s stopped that and we now have Happe booming cross field balls to a 5 foot nothing midget. Genius.

Exactly, it's so obvious Brophy is a good winger for this level, stick him there, his pace and running frightens teams, Akinola and Thompson look two very good CB's and played well together, how about playing them, no other club would stick their second best CB at RB

The ‘front’ 3 are so far apart, there’s only ever one forward option near them.

The right winger tries to cross. Brophy blocks it. Brophy blocks it so well the ball doesn’t go for a throw or a corner, it’s deflected 20 yards away from goal towards the halfway line. That is textbook full backing.
The full back then picks it up. The issue is with Wilko and mainly Cisse for letting that ball come in, then the centre halves and Akinola for switching off.

Re: Exiles thread vs Tranmere
You are 100% correct. We just do the same thing constantly thinking something might change when in reality it’s producing the same awful results. We almost rely on the opposition to mess up and that is our chance.essexfootball wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:54 pm One goal in seven, no in seven, almost like there is a constant trend of no goals and no wins but still doing exactly the same things for the last seven games
Ross has shown a real lack of ambition and has shrunk as soon we found ourselves in a decent position in the table. Being 6th and then setting up not to lose is an odd outlook.
We need a grown up manager to manage grown up players.

Commentators still trying to clutch at the "we've had more possession" straw
Wilkie hits it on the head "show some ******* guts" well played avoiding the swear live on air haha.

If you play Brophy on the left wing, who is going to get the ball to him?essexfootball wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 3:58 pm Exactly, it's so obvious Brophy is a good winger for this level, stick him there, his pace and running frightens teams, Akinola and Thompson look two very good CB's and played well together, how about playing them, no other club would stick their second best CB at RB
