Danny Webb
At some point in the near future, I would like Danny to become Head coach
I cant stand the thought of an outsider coming in and taking over that position........it needs to stay in house IMO
I believe Justin had such an effect on all he worked with, his legacy can be continued by those who worked with him every day, and Danny would be my choice
Its going to take ages to get over the tragic loss of Justin, but the team have to carry on & function.....the season starts in 8 weeks, training starts in 3½ weeks, and Danny is the best person to carry on Justins legacy IMHO

Re: Danny Webb
Fully agree,we have a some people here, plus 3 older players who can help also, cannot just move on,players must be in bits and keeping it together surely for a while is the only thing to do,football at this point with so much sadness means very little.

Pathetic, our Club is in mourning. I suggest you join in or keep out.Prestige Worldwide wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:52 amHi Danny.ComeOnYouOs wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 10:10 am At some point in the near future, I would like Danny to become Head coach

Re: Danny Webb
I was thinking the same last night. With Justin there was a possibility that we could go on and do a Tranmere next season rather than just have a consolidation year. I would hate for the current set up to be broken up and some combination of Danny and Ross would retain the spirit of Justin's legacy whatever the season's outcome. I rather suspect that pragmatism will prevail and they won't go with this option though.

We've already had to lock a thread about this after it degenerated into a slanging match regarding whether or not this kind of speculation was disrespectful. No idea why you'd then start another one along the exact same lines a day later.

Re: Danny Webb
Obviously this is a time for reflection. But the reality is tgat in a few days time the club will have to make a decision. I must say my personal opinion is that Justin has provided the blueprint and laid the foundation stone for future success. The greatest chance of this being carried forward is by those who've worked alongside Justin and seen the way to do it. Danny Webb for me as manager with Ross No2 and Jobi brought into the fold as a player/coach.

Re: Danny Webb
Agree with this. Danny gained my respect by being just about the only manager to stand up to FB, and got sacked because of it. He also had us playing some decent stuff in difficult circumstances.Andy Gilson wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 11:15 am Obviously this is a time for reflection. Re: Danny Webb
Not sure trying to emulate Justins methods will work. We dont know that the same methods would even be successful in League Two.

Come on guys, please not yet Look where this ended up yesterday. Spare a thought for family that might be reading this and how they’d feel.

Might look into seeing if we can just lock the whole Board for a few days.CreamofSumYungGai wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 12:57 pm Come on guys, please not yet Look where this ended up yesterday. Spare a thought for family that might be reading this and how they’d feel.

Re: Danny Webb
Might be an idea. Everyone is obviously upset and raw and obviously understandably touchy about is and isn't discussed.
The only thing i would say is that the board might be a good was for people to express their emotion and process whats happened.

Re: Danny Webb
Are you all the ticket? Justin has barely left the planet and you want his desk taken over already?
You should show some respect. I feel sorry for you relatives when you turn up going through their stuff.

Again, people trying to tell other people what they can and cannot discuss. If you are personally not ready, then dont read it!

Re: Danny Webb
Sad fact, but life goes on and we all have different views on these things
Personally don't want to see all the good work that Justin did go to waste.
Can't expect or ask Martin to risk his mental health dealing with it on his own.
What good would locking the board do, feels a bit like being in denial
My mum was killed in a RTA and found coping easier by getting on with life.

Why do people get upset if some people want to talk about this. It’s ridiculous. Just don’t read it! The internet is bizarre.

Re: Danny Webb
What would of happened if this tragic event happened in march ?
We would of had an interim put in place & possibly a game postponed , but not much more.
Discussions would have happened .
Most likely people have been sounded out .
My Guess is Webby woukd do the job if it was ok With Justins Family .
Perosnally id like Jobi Or Dean Brill to be involved
Theres something about Dean Brill that makes me think he could step up
