A good manager wouldn't have been pleased with that first half but Ross said that this was how he expected it to pan out ! A good manager would have thrown caution to the wind to get the winner and change the system. Trouble is that Ross seemed to me that he was modestly happy we hadn't been beaten. This came across in Kemps interview as well . With this 'lets not get beat ' philosophy , and formation that is based on that, it no wonder we are sitting in mid table even though we have a better squad than many.
That's it in a nutshell, the whole ethos is of "don't lose" rather than "win", for that reason alone I have no faith in him.

A message that came across loud and clear. Why we play such negative football.

It is just like listening to white noise for all the insight and acceptance of shortcomings is concerned. He doesn’t see the game that anyone else does that’s for sure and I have no faith in his tactical or leadership skills or nous. He may be a good coach, that is arguable but it isn’t his job. As long as we don’t go for Mourinho when he gets the tin tack soon.

Donut

Cos he’s scared, when he played a more expansive game last season we came undone a bit, and he has sussed that if you don’t concede you will always be in a chance of winning a game of football. Hence why we can’t score when DJ was out as we’ve relied on him way too much for goals. Wilco has gone off the boil as well at the same time so lack of goals means no wins.

Tuffers was banging on about graham Taylor and he worked on percentages, if we get the ball in this area so many times x will happen, if we put in x amount of crosses and so on. He played the percentage game well. Bassett was another disciple of percentage football only his was a cruder way of playing but it worked for his team and was successful with it.

He just can't bring himself to take a risk. whenever he's interviewed he just looks like he's terrified. Its hard to believe that he inspires any confidence in the group. I'm sure he puts together some interesting training drills but that's coaching. We need a manager, a leader, someone who can grab the players by the short and curlys and drag them over the line. Justin had it. Ross...don't.
That has been so obvious for so long.

Embleton is cringeworthy full stop.
His negative style of play, backwards, sideways, back is so boring and will drive money paying fans away in their droves.
He has had plenty of time to assemble his own squad with players capable of playing positive exciting football and failed miserably. He hasn’t got a clue , playing players out of position and playing players that would struggle to get in a non league side in particular Son Of DOF.
He has to go and a proven, experienced Manager at this level and above brought in to end this nightmare.
