If we do finish in the bottom half then he will be gone.
Obviously not vonfident enough to
Predict Ross failing .
Where as i am Confident enough to
Say we will finish top half
Id take it a step up & say top 10.
Personally i say we vwill be involved
Involve with automatic promotion or play offs minimum.

Managed to listen to the show Andy, with my old West Ham fan and all round avid footy buff . We both thoroughly enjoyed it with a bottle of ale and some cheese sandwiches.
Whilst it was slightly disappointing that some of the more pertinent were not asked, it was a good all round interview, entertaining and enjoyable.
Appreciating as always and gratitude to you and your colleagues.

Not a lot of experience in life though.
To say the bloke is naive is a understatement.
I still can’t believe it, to think a rival is going to give you any useful information is ridiculous.
This has nothing to do with football knowledge.

He just doesn’t come across as a leader.
The club have got to give him until the end of the season and then make their mind up.
I see no point in getting rid of him and appoint another novice from within.
I would bring back Russell Slade and let him complete unfinished business.

That is the truth. I would love for him to be successful both in terms of league position and in the quality of football we play. I personally don’t care who our manager is so long as we get decent football ending in decent results. I don’t expect miracles.Story of O wrote: ↑Fri Feb 19, 2021 6:03 pm All of us want Embleton to do well as it means the club is doing well. Our effectiveness in possession when measured by chances on and off target is only worsened by Southend and Grimsby. Thank goodness for DJ who has been able to convert those few chances into goals.
Tedious, predictable, boring football. It will drive people away. Some of us with Orient in our blood will stick it out. Bringing in new support? Forget it.

He seems clueless on setting a team up to attack and then says the players are not up to playing 4 4 2. What nonsense.
He has had 18 months to set the team up as he wants and has constantly played players out of position.

Taylor took over in dec 72.
That is half a season.
Clearly Taylor was showing all the attributes in becoming a successful manager.
Do you honestly think that this bloke will even win one promotion?
He doesn’t inspire, he is unbelievably stupid to not only ask rival managers what our strengths are but even more daft to publicly admit it.
For him to apparently resign from the job first time around should have ruled him out again, certainly in the near future.
It has all the signs to me of a nice bloke who has been over promoted, we have all seen it in every workplace and what happens is the company suffers or disappears altogether if nothings done.
I expect us to finish in the bottom half and then the owners will have a decision to make.
Of course Ross might prove me wrong and we may finish in the top 10. If he does this then he deserves another go next season.
I have a sneaky feeling we are going to struggle to score goals and there will be a lot of 1-0/2-0 defeats coming along with a few boring 0-0 draws.
All the excuses will come out from Tuffers, Johnson not fit, Still getting over JE, COVID-19.
All the things except one which every other club has to go through and a lot are on a smaller budget than ours.

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour Feb 17 with Ross Embleton
My take on football is this........
If a team goes out and plays progressive and attacking football and loses, well there is some merit in that. We can see light at the end of the tunnel.
Losing without playing a progressive type of game or even enjoying it is a total waste of time .

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour Feb 17 with Ross Embleton
I think it's valid to challenge Ross's record without being called a HATER - that's the very definition of cancel culture.
Is anyone saying that the footy we've been served up recently has been an engrossing watch, because I don't think they are, and that's down to the way Ross has set the team up.
We can compare Ross's record against other rookie managers, and who knows, the penny may drop and Ross may go on to have a stellar career, but I just don't see it myself. Maybe Ross was no worse than Taylor at this stage, but does that tell us anything really? We have to look for signs of Ross's potential to be a great manager in what he lays before us. I'm not seeing it. I'm looking really hard for it, but sadly, I don't think it's there.

Re: Recording of The Orient Hour Feb 17 with Ross Embleton
I’m listening now and he says “I would not personally play 4-3-3 if it were my choice” err it is your choice. He goes on to say we don’t have the players to play any other way, err your the head coach and we all know we have a transfer committee and you are a part of it, why aren’t the other boys and girls listening to you when you must therefore be suggesting we need a different type of player so we can play with two up top which is your preferred way of playing.
The man is talking bollocks, sorry.
