But we do play them again. So it is before games, just not before the next one.

Do you really think after a long career in football he is giving away secrets? Naive. Sad.

Ross Embleton, long career in football?. What club did he play for, where, when, what position.

I thought the 4-3-3 question about drifting into 4-5-1 was answered well &
Should help the limited in footballing knowledge understand a bit more .

I think any opposition manager must have been struggling to keep a straight face.
Not only is this bloke naive in football terms, he is naive in general.
Even 24 hours later, I still can’t believe what I heard.

@ Type high,
On the above question, this is all I can find
''Playing career, Embleton played four games in all competitions for Bedford during the 2016–17 season''

I think it’s fair to say that having a good playing career doesn’t translate into being a good manager, totally different skill-set.
But to asked opposition managers what our strengths are is at best naive, but even worse is he publicly admitted it.
To say he is wet behind the ears is a understatement.
Also, I don’t accept we can’t play 4 4 2.
He believes we haven’t got the players to play this, then what has he been doing for 18 months?
He could have recruited the wide players who can play in this system.

So we cant paly 4-4-2 because our midfielders are not 'athletic enough'. Interesting comment.

If he had the 13/14 squad I doubt it he would play 442. The man has no idea.

Thats not quite what was said though was it ?

He disagreed we dont play 4-3-3 & go 1 up & drift into 4-5-1 .

His explanation on 4-4-2 was we.dont have out & out wingers .

Like the.Comforts or the Chiedozies etc that we would all have watched through the years .

Given time that may well change .

I have had my doubts about this fella from day one.
We were told that he didn’t want the job for whatever reason.
If that was the case then he should not have been considered again.
For someone to turn down a golden opportunity like this would suggest they lack ambition and confidence, and no way should he have been reappointed a short while later.
I feel we should give him until the end of the season when I think we will finish 12th.
That is obvious progress but can anybody realistically see this bloke leading us to promotion?
I can’t.
I also don’t think it will be a good idea to let him stay in a lesser role as he will lack any credibility.

He obviously favours this boring pass it around the back football while giving time for the opposition to set up.

If it was just our 11 on the pitch, we'd win by 10 goals plus .

I think it’s time to move on.
You keep using the death of JE as a excuse.
I wasn’t aware Jimmy Bloomfield used the death of Peter Angel (who actually died in front of the players) as a excuse for poor performancies.

Not altogether unexpected when our midfield mainstay is a bloke approaching 40 years of age!

It is a very interesting comment.

Years ago at Motherwell under Mark McGhee he introduced the 433 system. It was unveiled at the first game of the season and the energy and levels of fitness on display were very noticeable compared to the previous season.

Even Fatty McGarry looked a yard quicker and the ground he covered was immense. Unfortunately he had to come off every game after 60ish minutes totally exhausted but that's not an issue if there is an adequate replacement. McGarry was once brought on as a sub and then subbed not long after by McGhee.

Playing older players as midfield generals slows the game right down and affects the speed of the attack and lacks creativity.

We need to refresh the midfield and up the fitness levels.

You don’t seriously think Kent is going to shell out millions watching a team going nowhere.
My guess is he would like a top 7 finish or some indication that Ross knows what he is doing.
I can’t say the last interview gave me any confidence.

If is a word you are using .

Obviously not vonfident enough to
Predict Ross failing .

Where as i am Confident enough to
Say we will finish top half
Id take it a step up & say top 10.

Personally i say we vwill be involved
Involve with automatic promotion or play offs minimum.

We wont finish bottom half .

Ross WILL be HERE NEXT season
If we do finish in the bottom half then he will be gone.
If is a word you are using .

Obviously not vonfident enough to
Predict Ross failing .

Where as i am Confident enough to
Say we will finish top half
Id take it a step up & say top 10.

Personally i say we vwill be involved
Involve with automatic promotion or play offs minimum.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
We don’t create chances and don’t score goals.
